Oil on canvas painting of a classic red barn in Alaska's Matanuska Valley near Anchorage, signed at lower left by artist Ted Goldstone and dated 3/69 and titled on stretcher. The Matanuska Valley is known as Alaska's prime agricultural area. The long hours of daylight in summer have produced record cabbages, among other produce. The high surrounding mountains remind one that one is in Alaska and not the Midwest. The art measures 16" by 12".

A detailed gouache painting of two female and one male figure in a green landscape with trees and flowers, 9 1/2" by 7 1/2" (13 1/2" by 11 1/2" in gold framing), painted in the centuries-old traditional style of the Indo-Persian School, but contemporary. This is an oil on board painting of a small house in a forest landscape, apparently unsigned, in the general tradition of the Hudson River School, 13 1/2" by 21 1/2" plus gold framing about 1 1/2" on a side. The work could date from about 1900 to maybe the mid 1920's, I would think. It is a decorative work that gives the feeling of a more expensive painting, when viewed from a distance...

Original ink on paper drawing of four ducks in flight over a swamp or marsh, circa 1930's, signed at lower right with initials "P.Z.", which appears to correspond with inscription on backing "Painted or sketched by Paul Zeeze". At top on backing, is written "James Zeeze". Online research suggests the name may be found in Minnesota, which would make sense with duck habitat. Measures 10" by 6 1/4" inside the mat and 14 3/4" by 10 3/4" in black strip frame.
