Francis Sydney Unwin, English, 1885-1925, "The Albert Hall". This is a very rare etching from a scarce, unpublished plate by Francis Sydney Unwin. The image size is 12 1/8 x 16 inches, 1916, pencil signed; a richly inked impression on a fine cream colored Japan paper. Unwin studied at the Winchester School of Art and the Slade School; he traveled extensively throughout Europe and spent several months in Egypt drawing the tomb interiors for an archaeological expedition...

Continental oval miniature painting, "Dolores", depicting a young beauty with flowing hair and large hoop earrings, signed 'Wagner', captured in an oval gilt frame within a rectangular frame with velvet lining, and titled in graphite verso, plaque 3.25"h x 2.5"w; frame 6'h x 5"w. No condition issues noted.

Large oil by J. Syer (1815 - 1885) British, this pleasant country scene was painted in 1870. It measures 51 1/2" wide x 38" high on the inside of the frame. On the back of the canvas there is a label that reads "Scene on the River Llugwy, North Wales." and says to keep the label attached for authenticity. This canvas has been relined, and there is a very tiny puncture on the left side near the fence.

Mid twentieth century oil on canvas painting of mallard ducks in flight, signed at lower left "De Marcillac", the measurements 21 1/2" by 43", a several inch wide whitewashed frame available with the painting. This is a beautifully painted work that will be surely appreciated by the sportsman or decoy collector. There is a small bit of work visible on the net by an illustrator going by this name, but I cannot tie the piece to that artist...

A vintage, original dated hand tinted copper plate stipple engraving by Francesco Bartolozzi dated 1786. This print measures 11" x 8-3/8" (imprint size) and it is in a later (c.1900) painted and gilt 14-3/4" x 11-3/4" frame. It has the following inscriptions: "Painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds", London. A wonderful portrait miniature of an attractive young woman, painted in watercolor and gouache on organic wafer. The sitter, set against a bluish gray background, has a tortoiseshell comb in her hair and is wearing a black dress with lace at the cuffs and at the neckline. Pearl earrings and gold chains complete her ensemble.

The painting is in excellent condition, with no flaws...
