The work measures 13" by 9 3/4" (19 1/2" by 16 1/2" in attractive silvery frame). Watercolor and frame are in excellent condition.

Small contemporary watercolor painting of traditional adobe buildings in New Mexico, a kiva oven in foreground, signed at lower left by Santa Clara Pueblo artist ROSALDA SPECKLED ROCK, wife of Paul Speckled Rock of local pottery making fame. This little work measures 5" by 7" in inexpensive black plastic framing. This note shows two book plates depicting flowers. They were provided by Michael Minckler. The plates are signed Takako. Maejima Takako is the name of Maki's wife.

Haku Maki Poem 71 92 - was done in 1971, one of the four years in which Maki did over 100 different prints. In 1971 he did about 5 Big prints – at least two sides are over 30 inches. In his total oeuvre he did 20+ big ones but only one Yellow This is it. It seems to be a single yellow stroke piercing the black; it is also the kanji for Mind in Maki’s mind...

Original black-painted terra cotta sculpture of the head of an apparently African-American man, signed at the base "Marion Goodman". To date I have not located a listing for an artist by this name. The sculpture, which has some age (circa 1950's to 1970'?) measures roughly 18" high by 11" by 8"(including base) and weighs 22 pounds. The artist worked the clay with great skill to create a very life-like face, and the curls of the hair are also treated with care...

Between the Baule and the Yaure to the west, the Malinke to the north and the Bete and We to the south, the Guro people live surrounded by savannah and forest. Oil on 8" by 10" canvasboard painting of an autumnal landscape, a fertile apple tree at left ready to yield its riches, golden leaves at right partially obscuring a distant arid mountainside, (12 1/2" by 14 1/2" in deep light oak framing), signed at lower right "MIRIAM K. Leonard Baskin, American, 1922-2000, "Portrait of a Man," Wood engraving, image size 20 x 13 1/2 inches, c. 1950s. This is a very rare unsigned proof, which does not appear in the Fern & O'Sullivan catalog. We believe this portrait to be of 17th century French artist Jacques Callot, whom Baskin greatly admired and included in his series of etchings, "Portraits of Ten Artists" in 1964.

One of a number in my shop inventory, this is a fresh and clean example of one of William Russell Flint's fine color photolithographs issued for collectors over a period of decades. This example, published in 1961 in an edition of 750, is signed in pencil at lower right and bears the characteristic embossed blindstamp in lower left margin. The title is "The Shower". The print measures 17 3/4" by 22 1/2" inside the mat and 26 1/2" by 30 1/2" as framed...

Max Kassler, American 1905–1992 was an abstract Artist known for some of the most unusual experimental work based on the human figure He was an early student of the Picasso school of painting.
