Antique (circa mid 19th century) watercolor and ink drawing, of the famous ruins of Palmyra, Syria, which were partially damaged during the relatively recent ISIS occupation of the archaeological site. Research indicates the piece is after an early 19th century print. Artist is anonymous. Dimensions are 9 3/4" by 14 3/4" inside the mat (with hand drawn lines) and 16" by 20" overall (unframed, just in the mat, which is laid down over the art). On reverse someone once wrote "Palmyra Turkey"...
