A poster issued in 1968 by the Galerie Bradtke of Luxembourg, to celebrate an exhibition of the works of Spanish modern artist LUIS MOLNE (1907-1970). The poster is issued with a patronage by the Prince of Monaco, Prince Rainier, husband of Grace Kelly. The image features a young girl, the predominant colors blues and brown. I would think this a serigraph rather than lithograph. Condition appears to be excellent (not examined out of frame)...

Oil on paper, irregularly shaped, maximum dimensions approximately 10" by 16" and 2" wood frame, signed at lower left "S. CIEJKA". I do not see a listing for this name, which appears to be of Polish origin. The painting is in oil on paper. I think from the looks of it, a date around 1940 would not be out of line, but it is hard to tell. The colors remind me of that period, and it is obvious that the piece is not from the late 20th century...

Below that in Hebrew is written "iam hamelach" (Dead Sea). I am not able to read Hebrew but was able to show this to a Hebrew reader. The work measures 13 1/2" by 19 1/4", and is presently unframed. It can be shipped between boards or in the plastic poster box in which it is presently loosely housed...

Raphael was born in Jackson, California, in the so-called Gold Country, but spent a lot of his time in the Low Countries of Europe, so both artistic communities "claim" him...
