A very rare Han Dynasty Chinese Terra Cotta Guanyin sculpture measuring 16” in height. The sculpture with traces of polychrome. Attractive, nicely worked pastel landscape of California in the fall, 14" by 17 3/4" (24" by 27 1/2" presently in gold metal frame), signed at lower left "Dorothy Dennison" and dated there 1962. The piece is very clean and fresh. The artist was obviously a skilled practitioner when it came to this difficult to master medium.
