Harry SCHAARE “Soldiers on the Traill 18x24 Harry Schaare (May 23, 1922 – April 9, 2008)[1] was an American painter whose work has primarily served the book cover and magazine illustration markets. In 1975, he got into western art galleries, and then 1981, moved to Arizona to continue his art. This work is based on his military unit based in Germany at the Battle of the Bulge

A beautifully painted oil on Masonite work featuring the peak autumn color in the mountains, likely the Laurentians north of Montreal. The artist is VIVIAN WALKER (1903-1994), who signed her name in the wet paint, at lower left. Walker was born in Hawkesbury, Ontario. She received art training in the Montreal area including at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. She was a student of Adam Sherriff Scott and E. Stanley Turnbull (the latter, in New York)...

The work is similar to works by better known artists such as David Shepherd or Bob Kuhn which bring thousands of dollars. Erdman is listed in Davenport's, but I am hard pressed to find more information on him...

A beautiful portrait miniature, done in watercolor on natural wafer. The sitter is a lovely young woman wearing a large and striking turban and a lace fichu over a light apricot dress. A brooch below her bodice echoes the circular motif on the turban.

Both are signed in the lower corners by artist "A. Esposito". I do not see a listing for this name but the artist was talented. Colors are fresh and the scenes are full of interesting details, the people going about their daily business and finding time to gossip...

Accomplished drawing of a young mother holding her baby, painted and with pencil underneath, unsigned, but on the reverse is a printed label of the Kherwadi Social Welfare Association of Mumbai, India, giving the name of the artist as Savita Shershing Ashiwal, age 9 years. The work being so advanced, it is difficult to believe that it could have been created by a young child...
