Painting on paper, either oil or acrylic, the subject a young boy, from the "Georgia Series", signed at lower right and again on the reverse backing by well listed American artist HARLEY MANLIUS PERKINS (1883-1964). The work, measuring 30" by 24" and 37" by 30 1/2" as framed, likely dates to about the late 1940's or early 1950's. Perkins was born in Bakersfield, Vermont, his mother's lineage traceable directly to Governor William Bradford of the Plymouth Colony...

This is a most unusual and appealing pop art painting (unframed, 27" by 35") by a mid-coast California artist, Tom Shultz (1943-2017). Works by the artist, who passed away in his mid seventies, have been exhibited at a number of galleries, particularly in the Paso Robles area of central California. Charles Brooking, 1723-1759, English. This oil on panel is a fine example of the early work of Charles Brooking, known as one of the finest British Maritime painters. It is 13" by 19" in a handsome newer frame (overall dimensions of 16 3/4" by 22 2/4".) The condition is good and it is signed indistinctly (as many of his paintings are) on the piece of wood floating in the lower front of the painting. He is listed in Benezit and his paintings sell for up to $400,000.

An early 20th century formal portrait of a lady painted by one of the leading portraitists of that century, Stanislav Rembski (1896-1998). A native of Poland, Rembski immigrated to the United States in the 1920s, working first in Brooklyn Heights, then Baltimore around 1940.

His paintings are in museum and private collections world wide, having been commissioned by Eleanor Roosevelt to paint a posthumous portrait of her husband, and of Woodrow Wilson...
