A circa 1960's vintage oil on Masonite painting, 30" by 18" (36 1/2" by 24 1/2" as framed), unsigned, the subject a peaceful creek or marsh land area in late autumn, one tree in full autumnal colors. This is a very nicely painted work, which could benefit from a light cleaning, but you would not have to have that done. Condition is excellent, frame has a bit of wear consistent with age. An extensive classical Italian Mediterranean landscape on paper, signed at lower right by artist CARL NACKE (1876-after 1931). Measuring 15 1/2" by 23 1/4", the work's colors are unusually fresh considering the age of the piece. The watercolor is unframed, laid on a board, as found in a Georgia estate. Nacke was an artist best known for his work on fine porcelains at German porcelain factories; these porcelains appear at auction in Europe.

Oil on board, measuring 13 1/2" by 13 1/2" and 1 1/2" wide gold frame, unsigned, depicting a number of California poppies vignetted against a neutral background. This is a very decorative painting of the California state flower, executed in late Victorian times or early 20th century when such paintings were all the vogue. This one has survived in excellent condition and would be perfect for a Mission, Arts and Crafts, or Southwest style interior. Frame has small losses.

TWO pen and ink drawings, identical size and frames, 9 7/8" by 7 5/8", one titled "Down the Gulch" and the other "Slave Quarters, Glen Haven, Colo.", each signed "A.C." and one dated 1936. I don't know who "A.C." might be/have been, but, if you collect Colorado art, you might like this pair of drawings of a mountain road and a mountain cabin. You might wish to reframe them. If anyone knows who the artist is, please do let me know.

PAIR of decorative oil on board paintings executed circa 1970, in the classical style of the 17th or 18th century, each 6 3/4" by 5" (12" by 10" in the frames), each signed "H. Muriel". I do not see a listing by this name so offer the painting on its decorative values. It is in fair condition, with soiling, stretcher bar show-through/uneven canvas, and two very small punctures at sky on right in a cloud at a few inches above the signature. If you like the painting you could hang it as-is, or you could invest money to fix it up.
