This work was likely created for the lively tourist scene in the French Quarter in the 1960's or early 1970's. It has been suggested that the artist is one "Dick Nick", who has been an active participant in the New Orleans Jackson Square art scene from the 1960's. Condition is excellent.

The frame is likely of Mexican origin and is hand carved and gilded, making for an attractive combination. A work for the Renoir fan who cannot quite afford the real deal at a Sotheby's auction.
