This Limoges cider, milk or lemonade pitcher is hand painted in a popular Art Nouveau motif with blooming flowers and green lily pads. Lots of very sophisticated gold on this piece make it attractive. 8" tall. It is Hallmarked with the William Guerin French porcelain factory mark #3 in green underglaze white ware with "Limoges" and "France". Ca 1900-1932 . There are no chips, no cracks and no repairs to this item. It is in fantastic condition. Looks a great deal like Picard work.

Japanese Musha Ningyo of Shoki the Demon Queller, made by Beishu. Beishu has Mukei Bunkazai status (Important Intangible Cultural Property). His Shoki shows great craftsmanship, with silk hair, glass eyes, gofun face and hands, with sumptuous silk brocade. This magnificent sculpture reaches the level of the master work of Beishu, whose work is found in museums and important collections of the Showa Period in Japan. Signed and dated 1960. 21 inches (53.25cm) high.

Bead Chain fixtures were the standard ceiling fixture of the American home from the 1920’s through the 1940’s. Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the 1171 violet vase - part of the Spanish Knobs variation - in emerald. The vase is approximately 3 3/4 inches high and in excellent condition. Bag made of hand spun and vegetable indigo dye cotton, with beautiful sashiko. The lining cloth is cotton which looks hand spun and has katazome (stencil-resist dye) stripes. The metal clasp works well, which is antique handmade with boat motif. Generally in good condition but has some indigo faded spots and wear in one of the corners in the bottom. Fire lighting implement consisting of a piece of iron, pieces of fabric and a fragment of flint stone, the whole set being contained in a rattan box. A small fire polished Galle cameo squatty cordial. The orange spider mum decoration is on a colorless ground which has a satin finish on the interior. The signature appears to be signature 9 as shown in Blount "French Cameo Glass." The signed piece is 1 ½ inches tall and 2 inches in diameter and there are no imperfections.
