Pilgrim's coat made of asa (hemp) with hand-written Buddhist sutra. It also has stampted Zao Gongen who is a main image of the Kinpusen-ji temple and Ominesan-ji temple. It has many red stamps of holy places where the pilgrim had visited such as Ominesan-ji, Kinpusen-ji, Zaodo etc. which are located between Wakayama and Nara prefecture where "shugen-sha ( holy man )" has been practicing Shugendo. Old mask with black patina, presence of goat skin with black hairs to represent hairs, eyelashes, eyebrows, mustaches and beard. The mouth is open showing the sculpted upper teeth. The top of the head is cut to represent the crown indicating an important man in his community. Very heavy and hard wood. Age at least mid 20th. H 32 cm

This Fenton three piece ginger jar is Fenton # 7288. This is the most popular of Fenton's scenic decorations. This item was made circa 1978. There are no cracks, no chips, and no repairs to any of the three pieces. This item is in excellent condition.

This American sterling silver baby food pusher is small scale and perfect for a baby's tiny fingers. The handle is monogrammed with an A inside a half wreath pattern, inside base of handle stamped with maker's mark, 925 and STERLING, engraved with the date 1927 on upper part of handle, The pusher is arched with scalloped sides. Measurements-handle 2.50 inches long, the blade measures 1.50 inches across. Condition- Minor surface scratches on blade.

Two pieces of yogi (bedding) which are hand-sewn by a girl student at the sewing school which were established around 1880. It is called "hinagata" and generally one third of measurement of a real one. The left one is sodenashi yogi (sleeveless top cover) and the right one is yogi (top cover with sleeves). The purpose of making sewing samples is efficiency for time and material. It has been made till 1940s in the sewing school of which students are mostly girls...
