This is a finely carved 19th Century Japanese Netsuke, depicting a traveling Gama Sennin, dressed in his traditional mugwort cape, with a walking stick in his hand, who has taken a break by resting on a porous rock. This porcelain oyster plate was produced in France by Charles Ahrenfeldt Limoges in the 1890s. It measures 9 inches in diameter. It has 6 wells and a salt compartment in the center. The plate is decorated with factory transfer designs that are colored by hand. There is an assortment of sea creatures accented with flowers. The border and shell compartments are highlighted with brushed-on gilding. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain serving dish was produced in France in the late 19th century by Delinieres & Co., Limoges. The dish was sold white ware to an artist who decorated it in their studio. It has a signature on the back. There are handles molded into the porcelain in the shape of flowers. The painting of the orchid is very beautiful with foliage and ferns accompanying it. There is heavy gold trim around the rim. Condition: Excellent

This is an exceptional antique ceramic bowl from the 10th to 11th century AD (364 – 441 AH) in the Fatimid Caliphate of Egypt or Syria. The bowl has a deep form and rests on a short foot with a disc-shaped bottom. It is an artistic masterpiece with a slip-covered, splash-glazed finish that adds to its beauty.

What makes this piece unique is the rare ornamentation on the interior walls. The intricate design depicts a tiger and a horned bull, a rare composition in Islamic art...

Outstanding sterling silver sardine fork with a fabulous Art Nouveau pattern of Oriental poppies and foliage. Both the front and back are beautifully detailed. The tines are lightly matte gilt. The back is stamped with the hallmark for the Baker Manchester Silver Co. (Providence, RI), a company famous for its ornate serving pieces.

A pair of unusual late 19th Century relief moulded cylindrical shaped hat stands painted with panels depicting gentlemen with attendants in a garden landscape, the borders are decorated with Buddhistic precious objects and flower sprays reserved against a yellow ground. On the base is the four character iron red seal mark of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). These are probably Nyonya wares, made for export to the Malaysian "Straits Chinese" community ...
