A beautifully colored mottled nephrite jade disc (sword-pommel) in colors of cream, rust and grey. In the center is a small hole encircled by flower petals. A double-lined rim borders the outer rim of the petals. A band of C-curl patterns extend to the double-lined outer rim. This early very beautiful Civil War era capelet is a rich reddish brown calico made with the finest cotton fabric that looks like it might be homespun. The workmanship is the best. An extremely large, beautiful, and fine English wine glass, elegant in its simplicity. The bucket bowl sits above a stem of the double series opaque twist type, which has a pair of spiral threads outside of a central gauze.

A Laotian figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, made of cast bronze with dark patina. Depicted seated in meditation on an undecorated pedestal, the right hand in bhumisparsa and the left in dhyana mudra. The curly hair is ending in the ushnisha with flame ornament, his face in the typical naive style. Condition: old small loss to the flame and one foot of the pedestal (therefore not perfectly even). Chinese Export Blue and White covered deep serving Tureen or Dish, Ca. 1800-1820, 5 1/2" high, 9 1/4" x 8 1/4" wide, with cut corner shape and Pine Cone Knob on top, very nice soft underglaze blue with sampan floating in the lake, pavilion and pagoda under willow tree next to bridge. Underglaze blue is just right for the type of Canton ware for early period. The condition is good.

A heavy Japanese iron, 19th Century, teakettle in the form of lotus leaves, with a small crab clinging to the pot. The tetsubin, with handle, measures about 7 3/4" high x 6 1/2" in diameter, and weights 58 ounces. The bronze lid is signed "Ryubundo". The condition is excellent/perfect, and it can still be used. A beautiful rare etched paitong basin depicting court ladies playing chess in the center. Around the inside of the basin there are scenes of scholars, artists, falconer etc. Around the inside edge is etched the "shou" characters representing good luck and fortune. Size: Diameter: 42.5cm. Condition: No repairs. A small casting crack on the inside that does not go all the way through.

Japanese tetsubin or tea pot, typically constructed from iron with a large handle to be hung over a fire pit. The tea pot has a bronze lid with a flower shaped finial. Its body is covered in small protruding studs, incised rings around its widest point, and its foot has old patina.

Chinese jade carving known as a cong, an implement dating back to Neolithic China, once used for unknown but culturally important reasons. The cong is often seen with squared outer edges carved of a taotie or beast's mask, which the inside is smoothed round with a central groove. The stone's coloring is light green with mottled brown.

Japanese Shino ware ceramic chawan or tea ceremony bowl. Shino ware is easily identified by thick white glazes, red scorch marks, and a texture of small holes. One side of the bowl has dark brown underglaze design of flowers while the opposite side has flecks and lines, along the dramatic ribbed edges of the body. The foot of the bowl is formed flattened and is left bare without any glaze.
