Antique Japanese rare fune bako (ship safe box) with interesting large, heavy iron warabite handles on its front and backside, front lockplate with flower shaped iron knob and hinged locking pin. Lid is completely removable and has short inscription inside. Meiji period (1868-1912) Original Beautiful Condition. Size: 6.25" height, 6.25" width, 17.25" length

A late 19th or early 20th Century porcelain snuff bottle, painted in shades of underglaze blue and pale olive green, depicting a lady and three boys in an interior or enclosed garden setting. The green hardstone stopper is probably jade and the spatula is finely carved ivory. Condition: there are many small burst production glaze bubbles: no chips or cracks and there has been no restoration. 7.5cm ( 3 inches) high (without stopper).

The most common type of air twist found in mid-18th century English glasses is the multiple spiral air twist (MSAT). Double series air twists are occasionally found, but triple series twists are incredibly rare, with very few still in existence. This particular example has an ogee bowl leading into a stem with a central air core surrounded by a two ply heavy thread which is in turn surrounded by a three ply heavy thread...

Japanese red cloisonne vase with imagery of purple grapes and multicolored pastel leaves on vines and two small, plump birds. The interior of the vase is a robin's egg blue crackle. Size: 14.25" height, 6" width

One-of-a-kind!!! This is an item sui generis. A yellow glazed Raku chawan, dating from the Meiji Period (ca. 120 years old) with its original signed wood box.

The chawan is in superb condition with no chips or cracks. Around the bowl are carved chinese characters. The tea bowl is very solid and fits perfectly into the palm of the hands. Great chawan!

Large Chinese Guanyin Temple statue made of Jade, with changing jade colours from light green to green, yellow, grey and black. This solid figure is seated on a double lotus flower, one hand holding the pearl and the other a vase.

The Guanyin is in great antique condition with very detailed carvings. Absolutely rare and one of a kind. It dates from the Mid Qing Period (circa late 18th. century)...

Exceptional 19th century Japanese Tobacco Box (Tabako-Bon) in rectangular form made with wood and brass (burner inserts), and completed in black and gold lacquer. It has rounded square wooden Karakusa charcoal burners with brass inserts (with remaining tobacco ashes) that are also elegantly decorated with gold vines and flowers. 19th Century, excellently hand-carved in rare Kurogaki (Black Persimmon) Wood Netsuke depicting a realistic chunk of Driftwood that shows well rendered areas of partially turned bark and a large opening in the middle that may have been dug up by the elements. Finely carved Japanese, 19th century, netsuke depicting Daikoku, one of the seven Gods of Fortune, the god of wealth, shown as an entertainer, playing the flute, while a karako appears right beside him while performing an acrobatic act. Signed Tomochika. Excellent details, form and expressions on this piece, with a wonderful patina. Netsuke measures 0.98 inches (2.5cm) wide, 0.70 inches (1.8cm) deep, and 1.55 inches (3.9cm) tall. It is in excellent condition, as shown in the posted photos.

This is a Meiji Period nicely carved netsuke depicting a Seated Hotei, one of the Seven Gods of Fortune, the God of Contentment and Happiness, holding a fan on his right hand, and a gourd on his left hand. Very nice rounded functional form with a mellow patina. Signed Gyokuzan. Netsuke measures 1.82 inches (4.6cm) wide, 1.28 inches (3.2cm) deep, and 1.17 inches (3.0cm) tall. Netsuke is in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.
