A Very Rare/Fine Korean Pigment Enameled Buddhist Bodhisattva and attendants (신중도-神衆圖)-19th C. Korea, Joseon dynasty (1392-1897), 19th century. Painted in Ink, colors and gold pigment on silk, depicting a bodhisattva surrounded by guardians and attendant deities (신중-神衆 : see below about it). Rare Warring States, circa 475–221 BCE, squat gray pottery jar, with incised wave, impressed diamond and large carved spiral patterned bands. The spiral pattern is quite interesting as this is usually only seen on archaic jade bi from the period. Some of the tips of the spiral are broken otherwise superb condition considering its delicacy and age. The surface absorbs water very quickly with a distinct petrichor scent. D: 28cm/11in and H: 14cm/5.5in.

A pair of elaborate porcelain vases with large leaves in turquoise and gilt opening from a narrow base which rests on four wide feet. The base and feet encrusted with vegetation and occasional flowers which also support a large rising stem on either side with roses on one side and blue, orange garden flowers and possibly small lilies on the other side. Hard to imagine putting flowers that wouldn’t clash into these vases...

Chinese Export Blue and White Porcelain Charger/platter, Qianlong period, 1736-1795, 12 3/4" diameter, 2" high, underglaze blue landscape design inside the fan in the center within four(4) sets of floral sprays decorated border terminated with brown rim. One(1) hairline about 2" long glaze hairline at 3 o'clock position, it is tight and not open hairline. This charger will make nice set with #1349149.

Antique Chinese bronze incense burner censer in the form of the Buddhist Guardian Lion - Foo Dog, Qing Dynasty (1644 -1912 AD).

The lion is seated with the left paw raised on a brocade ball, and its scrolling tail flicks upwards.

Well cast in bronze and hand finished with fine details, the body is applied with swirling locks of hair and smaller curls...

Antique Indian necklace of 19 large silver beads. Strung on twine with a large amber bead for closure. Each bead is subtly fluted, collared and has rich patination.

A " textbook " early Ming Longquan charger with a carved decoration. Originally with a extremely nice and thick Celaon glaze. The glaze is so thick that it nearly fills out the recesses of the carved decotation to the center of the piece. Unfortunately there is some wear to the actually outstanding good glaze. Otherwise the piece is in a perfect condition. Ming Dynasty, 15th century. Diameter 27,2 cm.

This is a fine early Japanese cloisonne vase with an unusual reddish brown ground color. This vase has a lot of fine work and detail. It is actually better in person because it is only 4 3/4 tall and the details in the images have been enlarged. It is not signed and is in excellent condition.

This is an exceptionally well carved mask, dating, most probably, to the early 20th century. The artist who created this mask has invested it with a powerful and menacing presence, as the photos will, hopefully, show. The piece measures just over 11 inches in width and is intact, carved from a single tree fungus. A rare and powerful survival.

Antique Japanese stoneware jar from Shigaraki kiln. Beautifully uneven form with high shoulders, tapered body and a narrow foot. Made using the local sandy clay from the bed of Lake Biwa, Shigaraki ware is identified by the embedded granules of feldspar. Mineral glaze is spattered over the surface and areas of dark ash adds depth and a prized natural beauty. Shigaraki is known as one of the 6 great pottery regions of Japan.
