This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in the US by the Ceramic Arts Company Belleek, later known as Lenox, between 1889 and 1896. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/8 inches and the cup is 1 1/2 inches high. The porcelain is extremely thin and is molded with a surface similar to a golf ball. A Japanese leather tobacco pouch with pipe case (kiseruzutsu) and ojime made out of stag horn. The pipe case is finely carved in relief with an eagle on a pine branch above a waterfall; the ojime is engraved and decorated with a key fret design; the pouch with a patinated copper clasp modeled as a frog. A pair of Staffordshire waste or slop bowls, c 1820. To one side transfer printed in black with an English mansion in classic style, in the foreground a lake and to gentlemen fishers, to the other side a lady and a small girl in a garden (traces of the same motif to the inside of the bowls). Height "3½/ 8,5 cm and diameter "6/ 15 cm. Condition: wear to the decoration and a hairline to one bowl.

A marked Meissen match safe from the late 19th century for those matches that were struck on any rough surface. The rough surface is on the inside of the top. The box is a rectangle with cut corners and curved sides. This is a rare example of a Japanese cloisonne teapot done in the Kyoto style. This piece is in amazing condition for it age. The pot measures 6 1/2 inches across and 6 inches tall with the handle up.

Late Ming Dynasty, early 1600s

Decorated in a wu cai palette of overglaze enamels. There is some wear to the enamels from long use, but overall in good condition. The stand and lid are from the late 19th Century / early 20th Century. Purchased in Japan in the 1970s, where it had been used for the tea ceremony as a container for powdered green tea.
