Beautiful set of 12 Royal Doulton service plates, handpainted by R. Brown. They are all scenes of castles and inns in England. They measure 10 1/4" in diameter, and are in excellent condition, with a tiny scratch here and there, but you have to look very close to see it...

Fresh from a multi-generation New England estate are two matching, stacking, 19th century, wooden pantry boxes.

They were originally assembled using glue, wooden pegs, and square head nails, although many of these were replaced at some point with early round head nails.

Back marked with an elaborate blue printed mark of a crown over what looks like a log with a garland of flowers and a ribbon with the words, "TONQUIN CHINA." A fine example of a Longton Hall porcelain tea bowl and saucer, hand painted in the "Windswept" pattern. The scene features an oriental type interpretation of tall trees, rocks, and foliage with a small flock of birds flying above.

Beautifully and thinly potted, the condition of both the bowl and saucer is excellent, with bright, clear colors and no issues at all. The saucer has a 4 1/2" diameter, while the bow has a 3" diameter and a height of 1 5/8"...

This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Copeland, c. 1850. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 5/8 inches high. The set is made of fine translucent bone china. Both pieces have decorations molded in the porcelain. These decorations are accented with ornate gilding. There are hand painted garlands of tiny flowers and foliage. The flowers are so life-like, only in miniature. There are cream colored borders trimmed with elaborate gilding...

A beautifully fashioned English antique firing dram glass. Most glasses of this type (opaque twist firing glasses) have an ogee or ovoid bowl, as opposed to this funnel, or conical, type. The lower half of the bowl is fluted, while the stem contains a double series opaque twist comprised of a pair of spiral threads outside of a central gauze.

Fashion perfect for riding in a one horse open sleigh, this is an original Victorian black silk velvet cape, circa 1890's, featuring silk applique detailing along the front bodice creating a border around the entire cape. A frilly double ruffle black silk ribbon ruff collar is inset with handmade black lace. Silk ribbon attached around the collar creates a bow in front of the neck hook and eye closure. A pair of hand painted English porcelain dessert serving dishes, probably Spode, lozenge shaped with lobes and decorated with floral sprays and sprigs in bright colors with gilt scalloped border and gilt floral design in the apexes. No marks on the base, but this form with the elegant gilding in the apexes is ascribed to Spode and from early in the 19th century. Length 10 ¼, width 7 ¼ and height 2 inches.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Almost no wear.

Wonderful pottery candlestick decorated in an underglaze blue floral transfer and clobbered with overglaze iron red, yellow, and purple pigments. The effect is much like chintz china, but with stronger coloring. The bottom is marked with the registration number indicating the piece was designed in 1913 and bears the mark used by Cauldon Potteries from 1905 to 1920. It is also marked "Grip", probably referring to the very uncommon form. It is a very unusual and striking pattern.

A nicely formed dwarf ale glass with flammiform molding above the spiral fluted, or wrythen, concical bowl; small spiral molded knop; conical foot with rough, snapped pontil; 4 7/8" tall, 2 1/4" bowl diameter, 2 3/8" foot diameter

A fine and early Dr. Wall Worcester sauce boat, of cos lettuce leaf form. This uncommon and molded example has a looped stem handle, and is decorated inside and out with scattered flower sprigs and insects, finished with raised fruit near the handle juncture. A similar example is shown in S. Spero and J. Sandon, "Worcester Porcelain 1751-1790, The Zorensky Collection", 1996, p. 120, no. 88. This form and decoration is based on pieces done at the Meissen factory.
