A lovely high quality flintlock pistol with 2-staged barrel in brass, London marks, made by Bate, late 18th. cent.

All brass construction except for the lock. The lock is marked "BATE", the top barrel flat at the breech end is marked "LONDON" and the left rear flat is marked with two crown over crossed scepter proofmarks. Light floral scroll engraving on the breech end of the barrel, trigger guard, wooden ramrod with swelled head and mounted with a full walnut stock...

Two fine gold filled dress canes, the crooked handle with geometric design and overall height of 35.5 inches, other one is 36 inches high, both with ebony shaft, conditions consistent with age, no visible issues.

Offered is a handsome, circa 1905-1910 era Spalding hickory shaft golf club. Features of this club include the following: (1) a manufacturers stamp on the shaft - "A.G. SPALDING BROS.- GOLD MEDAL" and (2) a rams horn insert on the bottom of the leading edge that is secured with 3 wooden pegs - indicating that this is an example of an early club.

The condition of this club is very good with an original leather grip and a straight hickory shaft with a nice original patina...

This is a consignment piece and as a result is a little out of my area of expertise. I am told that it is a boar spear from the middle ages, circa 15th century. It was found in Germany. It is very large, approximately 45 cm in length and is decorated on both sides of the blade. The socket has two tangs that are in line with the blade edges. This handle of this turn-of-the-century walking stick has the figure of a Madonna carved from an unusually large piece of ivory. The handle measures 14-1/4 x 1-2/4 inches and tops an ebony shaft and an ivory tip. Overall length is 36 inches.

English sterling silver handled cane, handle bears the silver and maker's mark, haven't read the marking but believe it to be from late 19th/early 20th century period, having an rosewood shaft. Offered for sale is a hard to find, turn-of-the-century, apothecary pharmacy bottle that stands 7.5 inches tall. The stopper is embossed with a large "W" signifying WRIGHT's Patent.

Measuring 3.25 inches high by 3.75 inches in diameter, this lovely Victorian Barber Shop, mustache or shaving cup or mug remains in excellent condition but for the subtle wear to the gilt-edged rim.

The cup is embossed with swirls, dots and bows as well as decorated further with gold-drawn designs and 2 large, hand-painted pink roses with 1 smaller cream-colored rose. The cup base is scalloped and the fancy handle is gold-gilded.

Theriac (from a Greek word related to “wild beasts”) was a classic antidote, a mixture including snake flesh, opium, myrrh and minerals plus spices, adding up to more than 60 ingredients in all. Here is a fine example of a club created by a skilled craftsman! It is a circa 1910, smooth face hickory shaft golf club sporting a wonderful patina, stamped on the back "NICHOLLS SPECIAL".

Smooth face golf clubs fell out of fashion, and perhaps function, by the very early 1900s, yet they were still offered in catalogues for a number of years beyond this date.

The grip is missing except for the listing which is in good condition, and the almost-straight hickory shaft sports a nice aged pat...
