This Alexander Korda "Thief of Bagdad" fur clip (pin clip) is 1 3/8" x 7/8". It is a fully dimensional man with a crystal marble.

Sir Alexander Korda was a Hungarian born film director and producer. He was the first film director to be knighted. This movie started the trend for collectors wanting jewelry like the pieces worn in the movie. Most of this jewelry was produced by Rice Weiner. This pin is circa 1940 the same time that the film came out.

An elegant, early 20th-century pin decorated with tour á guilloché enamel within wire reserves. A splendid 17-1/2" carved and lathe turned bakelite necklace c1920s-30s. This necklace consists of turned and hand-carved bakelite beads in oval, round and barrel forms; the colours include off-white, swirled tan, 2 colour pale green and brown. Most beads have variable colour layers and stripes, and the between triple disc striped spacers are all one piece. This unsigned necklace has the original brass barrel clasp and it ranges from 3/16" to 3/4" wide...

Very evocative of the Arts and Crafts style but most probably made in the 1940s, this elegant sterling silver ring is adorned with a pearlescent purple moonglow lucite “stone”. This type of luxurious plastic was very popular in the 1940s and extensively used in the world of costume jewelry so I think it’s an exciting surprise to find a sterling ring set with it. Please note the detail in the layers of leaves that form the shoulders, the tiny lozenges and linear designs enhancing the bezel...

Round two-sided cuff links ringed with inlaid cobalt blue enamel in a scalloped decoration and a central engraved grid pattern. They are well made with a nice heft; connecting rings and bridge bars are secure. Some of the grid pattern has worn off, as shown in the photos. Each button measures 5/8 inch in diameter. There appear to be worn marks on the connecting rings; the bridge bars are marked 800 to indicate silver content. Weight: 8.9 grams total

A vintage 1930s large coat pin and matching earrings. This set consists of the 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" gilt silver coat pin and matching 1" screw-back earrings. Each piece is stamped STERLING. Each has a large claw-set rhinestone, and this set is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of mottling or wear to the gold wash on the pin (minor)...

Topped with concentric disks, each earring hoop has a graduated width. The hoops are each set with five polished rutilated quartz cabochons, with the largest in the middle. The unidentified maker’s mark appears to be a conjoined JA or possibly a V. Gross weight: 20 grams total. Each earring measures 2 inches long by 1 ½ inches wide. New clutches come with the earrings.

Engraved with an elongated diamond pattern on rectangular panels, with ovular anchor links, these 1960s cuff links have a modern, angular look. The bridge bars bear the maker’s mark of Bernhard Hertz, Copenhagen (1936- ). All connections are in good working order; the cuff links show hardly any wear. The rectangular pieces measure 7/8 inch long by ½ inch wide. Weight: 9.2 grams

A streamlined, classic design of an oval amber mounted in a bezel setting. The cuff links appear hardly worn; the amber exhibits no scratches or other signs of wear. The anchor buttons are undecorated silver; the hinge is in good working order and the bridge bars are secure. They are marked 835 for silver content, with a maker’s mark of a stylized fish, probably for the German firm of Fischlandschmuck. The amber buttons measure ¾ inch by 5/16 inch.

These two-sided 14kt-gold cuff links are decorated with engine-turned engraving on white gold and are edged in yellow gold. The bars on the backs are marked P14K. There is some minor scratching, as shown in the photo. They measure a little over 1/2 inch.

Composed of geometrical open panels, this sterling silver bracelet is studded with tiny pieces of marcasite. It features a secure tongue and groove clasp and a sterling safety chain. There are seven marcasites missing, but it’s hard to tell without magnification because they are so small. The back of the clasp is marked sterling; there is also a sterling mark on the back of one panel along with a partial, unidentified maker’s mark...

A Chinese articulated silver gilt fish pin circa 1930s. This fantastically detailed and superbly constructed 2-1/2 x 3/4" fish pin is lushly gilded and it is fully articulated and it has natural coral eyes. It has a safety clasp and the mouth is hinged and opens (for what purpose we don't know). It is unmarked and unsigned, it weighs 9.5 grams and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...
