Striking, hand made, and large sterling MAYAN face BOLO made by MIGUEL and sold at RANCHO ALLEGRE, the largest silver shop in Taxco, during the 1960's-70's. The design shows a darkened silver background which highlights the shiny silver face, decorative element, and edge. The bolo measures 2" wide by 1 3/4" long and the decorative silver ends measure 1 1/4" long. The black fabric tie measures 39" long and has a small wear spot to the fabric but can be worn with no trouble or weakness...

One of Antonio Pineda's most spectacular bracelets and highly sought after by collectors is his "Spheres" bracelet. Also known as the Ball Bearing or Saturn design it's a book piece featured on page 52 in Silver Seductions and was also included in the Fowler museum exhibit. Measuring 7" long by 1" wide, it weighs a hefty 125.3 grams. Hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco Crown, 970, and the eagle 208. I have seen these brooches described as unsigned Hattie Carnegie or unsigned Kenneth Jay Lane. The colors are fabulous and the detail is wonderful. An unusual color combination.

This is a vintage 1960-s 14Kt yellow gold Christmas tree pendant/charm with three movable tiers. Each tier is independently rotate around the trunk of the tree in the center. All three tiers are red, white and green enameled. The 1” tall and ½” wide tree is topped by a five pointed star.

This is a classic style 14Kt yellow gold pair of earrings with a brushed finish and a rope like frame. The earrings have a combination of posts and omega backs. The diameter of the earrings is ¾”.

A pair of 1960’s high fashion, very elegant, tailored pair of twisted knot earrings made of 14Kt yellow gold. The earrings have French backs (none pierced), that can be converted to pierced if necessary. The diameter of the earrings is 15/16”.

This pair of onyx and 14Kt yellow gold earrings is from the 1960-s. The round onyx is encased in 14Kt gold with a pattern in the front and a solid covered back. The 20 millimeter diameter earrings are 2 millimeter thick, with posts and ear knots.

These gorgeous earrings each display two oval amethyst flower cabs, stemming out of leaves. They measure 1 1/2" long x 7/8" from leaf to leaf. The back of one is marked MEXICO STERLING. They are in excellent condition.

This 14Kt yellow gold vintage pair of scissors charm is from the 1960-s. The scissors measure 5/8 X ¼”.

A vintage hand made pendant in hammered brass with Pre Columbian pottery beads and a central mask. Hammered brass neck ring hooks in two places in the center. There are five dangles on the bottom with stone and ceramic beads and hammered brass disks. Central pendant measures 5" long and 2 7/8" across. Neck ring measures about 22" around. Etched signature on the back, 'Donna Brown'. Reminiscent of the work of Annette Nancarrow and Maya Mexico. Well made, bold design.

This mid-century modern diamond ring from the 1960-s is a great engagement ring, or it can be a right hand diamond ring. The center diamond is an approximately 0.50Ct brilliant cut diamond that has L color and VS1 clarity. The bezel set center diamond is flanked on by 15 brilliant cut diamonds set in three rows on either side. One of the most elusive pieces designed by Danish modernist Hans Hansen, this sterling silver neck ring has been in my collection for a long time. The idea was to get a pendant by the same designer so as to complete the necklace but it never happened and I decided to give that same opportunity to someone else out there. So if you have been looking for a Hansen neck ring and have not been able to find one, here is your golden chance...

A copper bangle decorated with colorful enamel imitating a variegated agate, from Renoir’s Matisse line of enamel on copper jewelry. The enamel is in good condition, with no visible damage or loss. The bangle measures ½ inch wide, and the opening is 2 ¾ inches across.

The heart on either side of the center stone says it all, what this ring is all about. The center diamond is an approximately 0.16Ct brilliant cut diamond that has I color and SI2 clarity, and set in a miracle setting. A very cool brooch by Peggy Miller, an American studio jeweler who worked in Baltimore in the 1950's -60's. This brass brooch measures 2" across and 2 1/8" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Signed Peggy Miller on the back. The points are curved up giving the brooch a three dimensional effect. There is some tarnish. Great mid century design.

Wonderful kinetic pendant by Danish designer Hermann Siersbol, circa 1960s. The bale and the dangles are polished silver, which is contrasted by the body of the pendant, which has a hand-hammered texture. The bars dangle freely and each terminate in a silver globe. The large Pendant measures approx. 2" across by about 3.5" tall (top of bale to bottom of longest dangle). Marked on the bale "925S H.S.". Excellent vintage condition with no deep scratches, dings or dents.

A one of a kind 14Kt white gold cultured pearl and diamond bangle bracelet for a special occasion, or just for the love of beautiful things. The bracelet is set with nine cultured pearls graduating from 5 millimeter to 2 millimeter from the center to either side. Two bezel set diamonds flank the center pearl, and sixteen single cut diamonds add to the splendor of this great bracelet. The approximate total weight of all diamonds is 0.90Ct.

A classic pair of diamond and pearl earrings from the 1960’s is set in 14Kt yellow gold with a European lever backs. These earrings can be worn dressy for occasions or sporty with jeans or basically all the time. The well matched high luster cultured pearls measure 8.5 millimeters and the approximate total weight of the two full cut diamonds is 0.10Ct.

We have a Matl Salas, gold wash, and snake bracelet to match a Matl snake necklace also listed on our site. The length is 8in. long but fits like a 7 in. bracelet because of it's width of .75in. and depth of the weave. The hallmark shown has a worn S and M and is also photographed on it's curved surface. These snakes are a time consuming work as they are hand woven with silver wire. All coils are present and beautifully spaced. The weight is 76 grams heavy.

A nice Italian Etruscan style 18K gold lantern-shamed fob charm enhanced with coral cabochons. It's been a while since I presented a piece by Gerardo Lopez but he is one of my favorite Taxco maestros, a talented silversmith and designer who excelled in the art of repoussage. I believe Lopez was at his best when he created pectoral necklaces and clamper bracelets and it is an exquisite example of the latter form that I am showing here. Definitely inspired by Los Castillo and Margot de Taxco (I have suggested in the past that Lopez must have worked for either one or both of the famous works...
