Early & rare this vintage sterling silver, turquoise and coral bracelet was designed circa 1930-48 by Matilde Poulat. The dove (palomas)at the center is raised so it appears to be inflight. When Frederick W. Davis (1880-1961) designed this most unusual necklace he likely chose this ancient hand carved stone from his Pre-Columbian collection. The wearable length of the necklace is 20 inches. The pendant including cascabeles is 2 3/4" X 2". The small jade mask looks to be from the ancient Mexican city of Teotihuacan. When the artist placed the jade mask in onyx, he may have carved it to replicate the large ear adornments and necklace that priests of Teotihuacan wore...

Vintage Bakelite bypass bangle in marbled Mississippi mud with carved stylized snake heads. It has a slightly oval shape. Tests positive for Bakelite and guaranteed vintage and original. This Matilde Poulat necklace bears her earliest block hallmark "Matl", and dates 1934-1940. It's a rare and beautiful piece, and it's also collector quality. Exquisitely hand-wrought, and it lays perfectly on the neck. A wonderful necklace which can be worn easily with any outfit and occasion. Measures 16" closed, wearable length. Width is 3/4". A lovely pair of colorful Retro earrings worked in 14K yellow gold. Each earring is fashioned in a stylized fan pattern set at the center with a round brilliant cut blue zircon and a spray of oval cabochon moonstones. The intense electric blue of the zircons heightens the softer, billowy blue adularescence of the moonstones. The zircons are set in rose gold, while the moonstones are in yellow. Very special Art Nouveau gold filled double-sided "Mercury" motif pendant, circa 1900. In Roman mythology, Mercury was the messenger and protector. This beautifully executed pendant is circle shaped and features a youthful Mercury wearing a winged helmet surrounded by eight marcasite stars, hinged at the base, reverse side with script monogram EMJ. Size: 1 1/2" dia. Condition is very good. Front is perfect. Wear to the reverse plate.

A handsome pair of 18K white gold cufflinks, the faces set with octagonal mother-of-pearl plaques centered by small square blue sapphires. The mother-of-pearl surfaces are finely crosshatched to match the engraving of the gold at the corners. The faces are joined by chains. Marked "18Ct."

Fabulous unusual early vintage necklace made from marbled Bakelite beads in honey amber with a hint of cherry and butterscotch/egg yolk colors, and carved black wood beads, all wired in darkened brass with brass caps and clasp. A good pair of pre-War Mexican silver cufflinks in a traditional strapwork motif. The square faces are joined to spherical backs. The surface retains an attractive old patina. One cufflink is marked “Sterling Taxco”, thus pre-dating the eagle system of marks introduced in 1948.
