This great pin / brooch has great detail. The Pekingese breed is a toy dog, originating in China. It was popular with royalty of the Chinese Imperial court. Ca 1960 There was an original tag now lost that read "Hand Crafted Austrian Brilliants"--this lot includes heavy clip-on pendant earrings that hang 1-1/2" and a brooch that measures 2" round. My second M Velazquez silver brooch for the day, this Mexican Deco repousse "portrait" I have never had (nor, I believe, seen) before. As opposed to the first figural pin, here the "sitter" is shown in profile, his likeness set in a raised frame against a stippled background. You can’t help but notice these Victorian daisy earrings. The round center has a finely hammered finish and is surrounded by 10 freshwater pearl petals on each earring. The posts most likely were replaced when someone converted the earrings to pierced, but they are 14Kt gold.

Made in Mexico Silver necklace of fine workmanship having origins from Mexico City boasting great style. The repousse is with no dents and the fine S links lead off from the lengthy drop. The length is 18 inches but you can hook into a smaller length with the original spring ring. The amethysts are without damage as well. Bold and striking long sterling earrings designed by Karl Gustav Hansen for Hans Hansen of Denmark. These earrings are from the "Future" line of jewelry manufactured by Hans Hansen between 1932 and 1948. They hang 2 3/4" long, are 3/4" wide at the bottoms and are screw backs. A very handsome pair of double-faced late Victorian cufflinks by Newark jeweler Bippart, Griscomb & Osborn. The faces are worked in 14K yellow gold and are decorated with engine-turned engraving in several motifs. The front face on each cufflink is set with a high-domed cabochon blue sapphire. The back faces match the engraved decoration of the fronts. The connectors are hallmarked for Bippart, Griscomb and Osborn, one of the leading Newark jewelers at the turn of the century.

A heavy pair of 14K gold cufflinks, the faces decorated with a sort of shield-shaped device against a stippled background. The influence of the Art Nouveau aesthetic can be seen in the assymetrical design of the shields. The semi-matte finish of the stippling contrasts nicely with the more polished shield.
