An amazing 'checkerboard' sterling silver modernist necklace by Georg Jensen, #191. Designed by Ernst Forsmann. Measures 15" long and 1/2" wide. Has a hook closure and two secure safety clasps. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925S, Denmark, and 191. Wonderful condition. Heavy and intricate, looks spectacular on! A very special piece.

Unknown initials mark. Floral bow reminds one of Matilde Poulat 'unmatched' old blue, green turquoise, stamped 22 assay shared by Fred Davis, Bernice Goodspeed, Antonio Pineda et. al., it is no doubt in good Taxco Silversmiths' company!

A spectacular demi-parure comprising a pair of earrings and a pendant/brooch worked in 14K yellow gold and set with Persian turquoise. The earrings have round surmounts decorated with applied bead and ropetwist decoration in the Etruscan Revival taste suspending ornately geometrical elements set with square turquoise cabochons. The pendant is made to match and has a bail that remains hidden when worn as a brooch. The turquoise is very well-matched...

Circa 1860 natural shell inlaid with gold and silver. Extremely tiny handiwork that seems to be a completely lost art. This cross is carved into a beautiful scalloped shape and has a floral motif inlaid on the top. It measures approximately 1.5" long and 1" across. The shell is 3/16" thick. It has a simple bail and we have strung it on a beautiful two-sided ribbon. It is in excellent condition with no chips in the shell and no metal work missing.

An English, Victorian slide locket. To both sides a design of water lilies with the floating contours of Art Nouveau. Lion passant, anchor mark for Birmingham, date mark for 1901, and maker’s mark ESB (?). A ridge inside the locket indicates that it might have been equipped with a mirror. Diameter "1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: fine.

A sterling silver modernist brooch by Israel, 'Izzy' Sklar, American Mid Century jeweler. He was the husband of MCM jeweler Phyllis Sklar.

This brooch is made of thick sterling tangled wire in a brutalist design. Measures 1 1/2" tall and 1 3/4" at the widest. Weighs 14 gr.

Has the stylized i sklar hallmark and sterling on the back. Rollover clasp holds securely.

Being offered is a rare circa 1963 handmade .940 silver (better than sterling which is .925) necklace designed by Hector Aguilar of Taxco, Mexico. Comprising masterful handwrought pierced crescent panels with incised work; hook closure. Dimensions: 16 inches long. Each panel measures 1 inch diameter. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition. An iconic necklace illustrated in many books.

An Art Deco chrome yellow cut glass and white rhinestones sterling ring from the 1920s-30s. This size 6 ring features a brilliant deep chromium yellow cut crystal central cushion cut stone flanked by wonderfully arrayed white paste rhinestones on the shoulders of this superb ring. It measures 5/8 x 9/16" across the yellow/orange citrene-coloured stone and it is marked STERLING...

These cuff links are circa 1920's. They are "disks" with a filigree, foliate, spiral design. Their diameter is 3/4". They are marked 835 and have a maker's mark I am continuing to research. They are in excellent condition.

Ca 1960 A fabulous wide sterling cuff by Francisco Rebajes featuring a smooth gray banded agate stone encased in twisted wire. Marked Rebajes Sterling in one corner where there is a very slight/minor curl. There is also some light spotting and minor wear appropriate for its age. Please disregard the line showing up to the right of the stone. Width is 2-1/4"~ inner diameter 2-1/8". The stone measures 2" x 1-1/8".

This exquisite Victorian brooch, circa 1890, is finely crafted in 14K yellow gold (tested & not marked). This versatile estate brooch measures 1 1/8" square with a pendant bail that folds back behind the brooch / pin.

Beautiful repousee sterling necklace(matching bracelet is also being offered), by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1947. Made of very heavy gauge silver, it weighs 3 1/2 troy oz(105 gms). Made of 20 links, each measuring 1" long by 3/4" wide, the total length is 15". There is an overlapping of links. Generously long with a twist-rope chain of good thickness and its original dog clip, this antique silver guard or muff chain does not stop giving! I would have loved it even as a long chain necklace but what makes it irresistible for me is its Art Nouveau slide with its portrait of the idealized female. Shown in profile in a geometric frame tempered by stylized flowers, her wavy hair held back by a floral ribbon, she is the personification of calm and serenity...

Glistening caramel golds and molten browns dominate in this Cecilia Tono Mexican modernist bang ring. This is one of my favorite Taxco collaborations - the jewelry that came out of it slick and inventive with the highest quality of craftsmanship and the best of materials. There is nothing excessive about this ring - except maybe the heftiness of its oxidized setting - yet it immediately attracts the eye and holds the gaze captive with its liquid warmth and its generous width...

Beautiful strand of Murano glass beads, of considerable length: "59 /150 cm. The beads are of various size, age and model - the yellow and marbled bead being the longest. The beads were probably put together in the 1960’s or 70’s. Condition: the long white pearl with a short crack, caused in fabrication.
