This mid-century bracelet was produced by RTA. I've had a few RTA pieces over the years, all based on Antonio Pineda designs, all of exceptional quality and craftsmanship. This design is known as "birdcage", and it is absolutely stunning. It has everything going for it. Large and quite substantial, it weighs 126.5 grams. This sterling silver money clip features an applied swordfish or marlin, and has a classic mid-century look. It is quite sturdy and secure, and has a nice heft. The back bears a maker’s mark of RRR, as well as a sterling mark. It measures 2 inches long by about ½ inch wide. Weight: 11.8 grams

This stunning bracelet by the famous Antonio Pineda showcases his remarkable design skill and quality craftmanship. The round links are hinged at the top and bottom and each holds two uniquely cut deep toned Carnelian stones at the side. Measures 7 1/2" long by 7/8" wide and weighs 55.6 grams. Hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco Crown, Hecho en Mexico, 970 and the eagle 17. Gem set box clasp and attached safety chain. A rare and special bracelet by one of the Masters.

Pretty Victorian sterling silver pin decorated with a floral appliqué. The floral design has realistic engraved details. These pins were very popular in the late Victorian period and were made in many different variations, often with a name worked into the design. The back is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1890-91, and has the maker’s mark “G.A.R.”.

So-called "chain mail" jewelry is not uncommon in the world of vintage Mexican silver. One can find them in all forms, with or without stones, and in all widths, signed by known maestros and by less-celebrated makers as well. There is something very slick about this design, its interwoven "mesh" inhabiting quite comfortably both the Art Deco and early modernist worlds. The necklace at hand is an example of the narrower versions but very well made and with good weight to it...

An interesting and attractive pair of 18K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces fashioned as reeded batons. The batons have a concealed spring-loaded mechanism that attaches to swivel hinges on the pair of struts that hold the batons in place. We've never before seen this particular mechanism. The cufflinks are stamped with French 18K marks and also with the mark of the Parisian jeweler Gaétan de Percin...

Large scale sterling ring by JO CATANZARO. Round design with oxydized background and measures almost 1" in diameter and 1/2" high and has twisted silver band. Unsigned, made of very heavy gauge silver, and ring is size 6 1/2. Silver balls on face of ring are primitive and a few are not perfect(see photo #2).....$8 for insured USA shipping.

A handsome pair of reversible heavy 18K yellow gold flip-up cufflinks. One side of each end is finished smooth, while the reverse side is engraved in a zigzag pattern. The flip-up style was popularized by Cartier in the 1930s and continued to be popular in France through the mid-century. Each cufflink is fully hallmarked with the “tete d’aigle” stamp for 18K gold and with an unidentified maker’s mark.

This wonderfully unique pin, c. 1950’s, is by Perli Werkstatt of Germany. It is skillfully handcrafted with its crater design and organic texture. It is signed “Perli 800” and something else I cannot make out. Its diameter is 1 1/4”. It’s in excellent condition.

A delightful ring converted from a French 18K rose and green gold and ruby stick pin. The design shows a pair of ruby cherries hanging from a pair of green gold leaves (the photos are upside down). The rubies have a nice red color the perfect shade of juicy, ripe cherries. The 18K gold design is mounted on a 14K gold band.

Cherries are rife with symbolism ranging from the eternal soul to female sexuality...

This ring features an organic design of a textured, ribbon-like setting enclosing an untreated, polished piece of amethyst in lovely condition. The design is naturalistic, evoking a thick, curling vine with a texture like bark. The ring is marked ST925 inside the band, which is often seen on jewelry produced by Israeli designers. This Joseff of Hollywood crab, shell and 13 mm pearl brooch is in excellent condition. The mysteries of the Middle East influenced this design.

The detailed modeling is in the Russian gold finish they made famous for its photographic effect. The crab sits on a scallop shell and holds a large and lustrous simulated pearl. It is hallmarked Joseff signature on an applied plaque. It is 2" x 2 1/4".

Joseff was the jeweler for the Hollywood movie moguls form 1930-1948...

A pair of vintage Tiffany & Co. 14K yellow gold double-faced cufflinks, the faces set with very fine reverse-carved Essex crystals depicting foxes. The designs are deeply carved and expertly painted in bright colors. The foxes’ mouths, particular, are very well done. The crystals are backed with mother-of-pearl. The connectors are marked “14K/Tiffany & Co.”
