This mid-century bracelet was produced by RTA. I've had a few RTA pieces over the years, all based on Antonio Pineda designs, all of exceptional quality and craftsmanship. This design is known as "birdcage", and it is absolutely stunning. It has everything going for it. Large and quite substantial, it weighs 126.5 grams. Pretty Victorian sterling silver pin decorated with a floral appliqué. The floral design has realistic engraved details. These pins were very popular in the late Victorian period and were made in many different variations, often with a name worked into the design. The back is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1890-91, and has the maker’s mark “G.A.R.”.

There is something very slick about this design, its interwoven "mesh" inhabiting quite comfortably both the Art Deco and early modernist worlds. Large scale sterling ring by JO CATANZARO. Round design with oxydized background and measures almost 1" in diameter and 1/2" high and has twisted silver band. A handsome pair of reversible heavy 18K yellow gold flip-up cufflinks. One side of each end is finished smooth, while the reverse side is engraved in a zigzag pattern. The flip-up style was popularized by Cartier in the 1930s and continued to be popular in France through the mid-century. Each cufflink is fully hallmarked with the “tete d’aigle” stamp for 18K gold and with an unidentified maker’s mark.

This wonderfully unique pin, c. 1950’s, is by Perli Werkstatt of Germany. It is skillfully handcrafted with its crater design and organic texture. It is signed “Perli 800” and something else I cannot make out. Its diameter is 1 1/4”. It’s in excellent condition.

A delightful ring converted from a French 18K rose and green gold and ruby stick pin. The design shows a pair of ruby cherries hanging from a pair of green gold leaves (the photos are upside down). The rubies have a nice red color the perfect shade of juicy, ripe cherries. The 18K gold design is mounted on a 14K gold band.

Cherries are rife with symbolism ranging from the eternal soul to female sexuality...

This Joseff of Hollywood crab, shell and 13 mm pearl brooch is in excellent condition. The mysteries of the Middle East influenced this design.

The detailed modeling is in the Russian gold finish they made famous for its photographic effect. The crab sits on a scallop shell and holds a large and lustrous simulated pearl. It is hallmarked Joseff signature on an applied plaque. It is 2" x 2 1/4".

Joseff was the jeweler for the Hollywood movie moguls form 1930-1948...

The designs are deeply carved and expertly painted in bright colors. The foxes’ mouths, particular, are very well done. The crystals are backed with mother-of-pearl.
