Strong, unique & one of his most desirable creations this 970 sterling silver cuff was designed & signed in the 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). A colorful, handsome pair of 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces bezel-set with carnelian and green chalcedony oval cabochons. The color contrast is very striking. Drawing inspiration from Mexico’s Spanish Colonial past, this sterling silver necklace and earrings set by Margot de Taxco combines dark oxidation with overlay and deep hand-chasing to achieve an elaborate and rich Old World visual effect. I find the central station to resemble a carnival mask - I know, too Venetian but then, carnivals were celebrated in Spain as well though not as elegantly or extravagantly...

This Boucher pin has brushed gold tone petals, bright stem and leaf, with a central pearl. It is like a fantasy flower.

One of the best and largest silver pins by Hector Aguilar, Mexico, c.1948. Beautiful repouseed floral pin showing play between oyxidized deep lines and shiny surface silver. Very large, it measures 3 1/2" long by 3 1/4" wide. Signature is unusual showing eagle mark(not usual bellmark), one of the earliest dies ordered from Germany - "eagle mark 940 HA TAXCO". This bracelet is truly beautiful. The central stone is bezel-set with a diameter of 1". The bracelet has a great mod look and good heft, as well. It would likely fit on a smaller wrist. It is in excellent condition.

Corpus Artisans Doris Silver was a store where extremely talented maestros worked in the back of her taller. If she liked the pieces that were made she would buy them. The workers rather came and went in between jobs and such. Chato Castillo being one. I have seen numerous names along with the Doris Marks as well as just the Doris marks alone. This work in repousse and with a height of almost 5in. tall is the most dimensional work I think I have ever seen...

An elegant pair of silver double-sided cufflinks by David-Andersen featuring Prussian blue guilloche enamel in a sunburst design encircled with opaque white champlevé enamel. Exposed areas of silver are gilt. The backs are stamped with the David-Anderson mark used 1888-1925.

This intriguing (and slightly strange!) pair of pins is from the Art Nouveau era. They feature a woman’s face flanked by flowers, and her hair is greenish – just a little scary! We have been unable to determine what the metal is, so assume it’s not precious. They measure 1-1/4” x 1/2”. The pin stem assemblies are old, but they may be replacements. Circa 1900.
