These Mexican cuff links are unmarked but their design featuring a Precolumbian-style figure indicates their origin. They are also marked 980 on the backs of one side, a silver content consistent with Mexican jewelry. They are likely from the 1930s to 1950. The larger button measures ¾ inch in diameter. Very evocative of the Arts and Crafts style but most probably made in the 1940s, this elegant sterling silver ring is adorned with a pearlescent purple moonglow lucite “stone”. This type of luxurious plastic was very popular in the 1940s and extensively used in the world of costume jewelry so I think it’s an exciting surprise to find a sterling ring set with it. Please note the detail in the layers of leaves that form the shoulders, the tiny lozenges and linear designs enhancing the bezel...

These elongated silver cuff links are set with cobalt blue spinels, enhanced with an applied silver wire. Each bridge bar is marked for .835 silver; the anchor bars are decorated with engine-turned engraving. All connections and both hinges are intact and show no stress; there is a tiny nick on the underside edge of one cuff link. They date from the 1950s and measure about 1 ½ inches long by ½ inch at the widest part.

A nice pair of sterling silver cufflinks with an subtle Art Deco engraved floral motif. The solid connectors are joined to hinged backs. Each connector is stamped with Polish sterling marks and an unidentified maker's mark.

These cuff links are composed of forged-wire bands that have been hand-formed into pinwheel shapes and anchor bars with curled ends. The anchor bars are marked sterling and are secured to the buttons with a soldered figure-eight link; the cuff links exhibit tool marks from working the silver. They are probably from the 1950s. The pinwheels measure about 11/16 inch across; the anchor bars measure 1 inch long. Weight: 9.7 grams total

A classic design of engine-turned engraved vertical lines and molded edges on the larger, rectangular buttons, the smaller sides ovular with a textured surface. The cuff links are lightweight but well made, and appear to have been hardly worn. The connections and bridge bars are very secure; both bars are marked 835 for silver content with double-struck crabs, apparently to indicate Paris (silver mark used 1838-1962). The maker's mark also appears in a diamond-shaped reserve...

A streamlined, classic design of an oval amber mounted in a bezel setting. The cuff links appear hardly worn; the amber exhibits no scratches or other signs of wear. The anchor buttons are undecorated silver; the hinge is in good working order and the bridge bars are secure. They are marked 835 for silver content, with a maker’s mark of a stylized fish, probably for the German firm of Fischlandschmuck. The amber buttons measure ¾ inch by 5/16 inch.

Engraved with an elongated diamond pattern on rectangular panels, with ovular anchor links, these 1960s cuff links have a modern, angular look. The bridge bars bear the maker’s mark of Bernhard Hertz, Copenhagen (1936- ). All connections are in good working order; the cuff links show hardly any wear. Round two-sided cuff links ringed with inlaid cobalt blue enamel in a scalloped decoration and a central engraved grid pattern. They are well made with a nice heft; connecting rings and bridge bars are secure. Some of the grid pattern has worn off, as shown in the photos. Each button measures 5/8 inch in diameter. There appear to be worn marks on the connecting rings; the bridge bars are marked 800 to indicate silver content. Weight: 8.9 grams total

Reminiscent of machine-age design, these mid-century silver cuff links are composed of applied semi-circular bars spanning the width of a flat, rectangular bar. The anchor bars are flat, plain panels with hinges. They are marked 830, with the maker’s mark of Eiler & MarlØe of Copenhagen (1920-1967). They measure 1 inch long by a little over ¼ inch wide at the areas where the curved bars are attached. Total weight: 18 grams

This quirky and charming bird pin is the work of a talented Peruvian jeweler named Goizueta, of whom very little is known. The pin is set with two pieces of greenish-blue stone known as azurite or chrysocolla. There is some roughness to the edges of the round piece, but it is securely mounted. The pin has a secure rollover clasp and bears the name of T. Goizueta, as well as marks for sterling and Peru. It is quite substantial and measures 1 ¼ inches by 1 ¾ inches.

Composed of a hammered-look, lozenge-shaped panel decorated with applied silver wire and beads, this impressive pin evokes a German arts and crafts influence. The faceted stone is almost clear and tests strongly as quartz/amethyst/citrine; in certain light it looks like a smoky quartz or very light citrine. The stone sits securely within a modified bezel mounting and shows no wear or scratching. The C-clasp on the back is well soldered and secure, as is the pin stem...

This choker / necklace has a triangle geo pendant with a swinging colorful stone (greens, turquoise, browns). The pendant measures 2" x 2" at highest and widest. The choker is marked with the Taxco assay / eagle mark #3. It is also marked 925RJA MEXICO. This is a great find. It has good heft and is in excellent condition.

This ring has a wonderful design. The "head, top" measures 3/4" x 1 1/4". The beautiful, eilat cabochon (stone) has a nice, central setting. Oval, in shape, it measures 3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8". The band is adjustable and has a great design. It is marked ISRAEL STERLING 925. This great ring is in excellent condition.

This unusual vintage Mexican sterling pin is in the form of three chain-linked butterflies with glass turquoise cabochons and dates to the 1930s. This pin has three different sized butterflies (all with their own pins on back), with the largest 1-7/8" across and the smallest 1-3/8". Here is an English-made whistle of copper-plated brass and base metal, that may have been made for the U.S. market. The front is labeled ‘The Acme/Boy Scouts’ with the English registration number for 1914, and ‘Patent’ underneath. The whistle itself measures a little under 3 inches long; the bale adds another 3/4 inch. Circumference is about 2 inches. Weight: 25.8 grams

A late Victorian 48" fine link gold filled watch chain with a swivel and an unmarked 3/8" slide with seed pearl which tests as 12k gold (12k gold was produced in the UK until 1932). The swivel is stamped J LYNN & CO, and this c1890-1900 chain is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use...

Scary large scorpion aluminum pin made in Germany, c.1970's. Measuring 3 1/4" long by 2 3/8" wide, it is very good condition but has some wear scratches. Very exciting!

A cast rectangular top decorated with what look like applied and incised stylized scrollwork; the surface is textured and is unevenly oxidized. The sides exhibit clamp-like elements and the band shoulders bear engraved geometric designs. The band is flattened, and on the inside is marked with the German crown and moon, 800, and what looks like a worn maker’s mark. The style looks like transitional art deco/art modern; the ring is dated conservatively. It is sized at a 7. Weight: 5.9 grams

The dove motif is based on Georg Jensen's bracelet. It has been copied by several American makers in the 1930's. This is one of those. This bracelet is 7 1/4" long by 3/4" wide.

Of flexible and hand-wrought construction with bezel mounted teal ceramic oval pieces at the terminals. The band shows a warm patina with some roughness under the edge near one end. The outer band shows either a partially obscured mark for sterling or a maker’s mark. It has an 8-inch inner circumference, and is 3/16 inch wide.
