A curving band of old European, transitional and single-cut diamonds sparkle in the yellow gold ribbon top of this Edwardian hinged bangle bracelet. A handsome pheasant struts his stuff in this expertly-carved and painted Essex reverse crystal set in 14K yellow gold. The bird is presented against a landscape subtly-colored foliage and mounted on a rail fence setting. Animal jewelry featuring crystals as large as this are increasingly difficult to find. The clasp is marked “14K.”

Here are two charming sterling silver scatter pins formed as ladies’ heads complete with bonnets and flowing hair. They are typical of the highly detailed cast work of Unger Bros., of Newark, NJ, during the Art Nouveau period. Both have secure C-clasps; one looks to have been replaced, perhaps during the 1920s. The fine features are intact and the maker’s mark well struck. Each pin measures 3/4 inch long by 5/8 inch wide. 4.4 grams total

Circa 1910, old mine cut diamond ring. Set in 14k rose gold and platinum, this 1.68 ct diamond has an EGL certificate stating it is N color and SI1 clarity. For such an old stone, it is beautifully set and nicely sparkly. It is almost an oval shape, but looks larger than its weight. The ring has 10 additional old mine cuts that total an additional .25 ct. The ring is a size 6 and the overall weight is 3.6 grams. It is in excellent condition.

The gemstones are separated by openwork gold in an interlaced heart pattern that lends a very lacy quality The use of amethyst is somewhat uncommon in a bangle from this period.
