Very nice 14 karat yellow and rose gold brooch in the Retro Modern style, set with a single deeply lustrous 4.5mm pearl. Lovely necklace signed "HK HANDMADE STERLING DENMARK" made of sterling and enamel. Although extremely rare to see his signature on non George Jensen pieces, it is probably made by Henning Koppel(1918-1982). In "Silver Jewelry" by Fred Rezazadeh, on page 100, it states that "Koppel's jewelry exhibits modern and abstract designs derived form nature, sometimes enhanced with enamelwork." It also shows that "HK" is Koppel's signature, aside from his work with Jensen...

Coiled aluminum wire ring made without soldering, in the style of Alexander Calder, c.1950's. Has large circular design and measures 1 1/4" in diameter. This is typical fine work by Hobe. The leaves and bow are layered. The roses go a step further by having individual petals wrap to form a circle just as real roses do. The semi-triangular plaque with the rectangular bottom marked Hobe, sterling, 1/20 14k, indicates that this brooch is lovely older Hobe dating between 1918 and 1932. 3" long.1 1/2" wide. 1/2" deep.
