A nice 18K gold Sputnik ring by H Stern. The dome is bezel-set with nineteen round citrines, amethysts, pink and green tourmalines, peridots, aquamarines and garnets. This is the first time we've seen a blue tourmaline in a Sputnik ring. The design was created in the 1950s to highlight the range of colored gemstones available from Stern's Brazilian mines. It later came to be called "Sputnik" for its resemblance to the spike Soviet satellite launched in 1957...

Vintage long necklace of graduated Gripoix poured glass beads in green and purple, wired with dark goldtone metal, with ornate filigree caps, and cylindrical stamped dark goldtone metal beads, with a screw barrel clasp, circa 1940. The bracelet comprises nine comma-shaped flaring gold links, each set with either a tourmaline cabochon or a pearl. A red and gold Murano glass disc necklace 1930s-50s. It is a brilliant cherry color with gold sparkles that people used to refer to as mica glass. This vintage 17-1/2" length necklace has a barrel clasp and gold plated caps on the 13/16" red glass discs.
