A graduate of the Parson's School of Design in Paris, Erika Hult de Corral is one of my favorite modernist designers and silversmiths in the context of Mexican silver jewelry. A silver necklace with six small and one large fused glass on clay jewels by noted modernist jeweler, Elsa Freund, (1912-2001).

Measures about 15" around. Central drop measures 1 3/4" long and 1 1/4" across. This drop is signed Elsa on the back.

Classic Elsaramics sparkling amber colored jewels. Hook closure on the back fastens securely. A necklace extender could be added to the clasp if needed. Has a little tarnish. Lays wonderfully on the collar...

A sterling silver hand wrought brooch by the mid century modernist studio jeweler, Ruth Berridge, (1921-2004). Looks like rows of randomly placed flattened pebbles. Curved for a multidimensional effect. Measures about 2 3/8" across and 1 1/2" high. Hand signed © Ruth Berridge, Handmade Sterling on the back. Rollover clasp holds securely. Fine condition with minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. This piece is from her estate. Classic Ruth Berridge design.

Matching the highly geometric cuff bracelet that is also available in my store, this vintage Los Castillo Mexican silver modernist ring still cherishes the austere angularity of the Deco years. Set in channels defined by sterling wires, the saturated blues and greens of the azur-malachite inlay clearly mark it as belonging to the workshop's "mozaico Azteca" line...

This mid-century bracelet was produced by RTA. I've had a few RTA pieces over the years, all based on Antonio Pineda designs, all of exceptional quality and craftsmanship. This design is known as "birdcage", and it is absolutely stunning. It has everything going for it. Large and quite substantial, it weighs 126.5 grams. Wears beautifully and feels luxurious on the wrist. Measures a closed, wearable length of 7". Width is 1 9/16"...

A beautiful pair of handmade cufflinks by one of Italy’s most luxurious men’s jewelry, Riccardo Zannetti. Oval cabochons of pink tourmaline, green tourmaline and aquamarine are simply fitted into bezel settings. The faces are hinged for ease of wear. Zannetti makes everything by hand and in very small quantities. Each cufflink bears appropriate Italian hallmarks and has the engraved “Zannetti” signature...

A very good pair of 18K yellow gold cufflinks by Alfred Dunhill. The faces resemble branches of coral. Dunhill produces the vast majority of its cufflinks in sterling silver and the 18K gold versions are very rare. The coral design, in general, is hard to find because it was made for only a short time around 2005. The cufflinks are constructed with the connector set off-center, so the link lies flat against the cuff...

Very handsome 18K yellow gold and steel cable cufflinks by one of the most important high-end contemporary jewelry designers, Philippe Charriol. Charriol rose to prominence working for Cartier before starting his own boutique in 1983. The “Celtic” line was Charriol’s first design, and the he updates it every few years...

This sterling silver pendant 1 1/2" x 1". The agate stone has shades orange, yellow, and white, and is bezel-set, completely encased in silver. It hangs 9 1/2" from its sterling chain. The back is marked STERLING, with an artist / maker's mark of PW. It has good heft and is in excellent condition. I believe it is of Native American / Navajo origin.

This sterling silver abacus charm measures 3/4" x 3/8". It works and moves. The bottom is marked 925. It is in excellent condition.

A nice pair of 18K yellow gold dumbbell cufflinks, each of the faces in the form of a knot. The solid connectors are arch to fit the cuff correctly. Marked “18K” and with the hallmark of an unidentified maker.

A vintage pair of handsome and versatile 14K yellow gold and black onyx barrel shape cufflinks made by Tiffany & Co., comprised of five barrel black onyx stones, toggle backs, marked "585" for 14K gold and TIFFANY & CO. Size: 1"L x 7/8" W WT: 10.4g Condition like new.

This great bracelet measures 7" long. It features 13 sterling and enamel charms that connotes travel throughout the United States and Canada. Each charm is marked with a sterling mark, as well as a maker's hallmark a sterling mark, as well as a maker's mark, as does the bracelet itself. It has good heft (just over 1 ounce), and is excellent condition.

A very fine pair of heavy 18K yellow gold and platinum double-sided cufflinks by David Webb. The round faces are shaped as compressed spheres (imagine an old-fashioned flying saucer) bisected by pairs of parallel raised bars. Each face is centered with a round brilliant blue sapphire bezel-set in platinum. The smaller, back faces are hinged so they can easily be put through a cuff. The gold and platinum have a very elegant brushed texture that contrasts beautifully with the sapphires...

A handsome pair of cufflinks, the faces featuring ancient silver Macedonian coins dating from the reign of Alexander the Great (336-323 B.C.). The obverse of the coins depicts Herakles (Hercules) wearing the skin of the Nemean lion. The reverse depicts a bow, quiver and club, and is inscribed with Alexander’s name. The coins are set in 14K yellow gold frames with ropetwist borders...

An extraordinary gentleman's dress set comprising two double-sided cufflinks and three shirt studs, all worked in 18K yellow gold and set with cabochon cut blue sapphires. The design is very simple and sophisticated. The sapphires are of unusually fine quality to be cut en cabochon. Using the Gemological Institute of America's grading system, they are medium-dark, vivid strongly violetish-blue with excellent symmetry and polish, and very good clarity.
