This Los Castillo design 262 is an early one created when Margot Van Voorhies was married to Don Antonio Castillo. I believe these early pieces are the very best of her work. Stunning in size with an almost 2 inches of height and a weight of 84 grams of almost pure 980 silver. The condition reflects no damage and also well cared for over time. The diameter is 2.25 inches with the gap set at 1in. This can be professionally adjusted for most to fit. One of the best from the Spratling Era.

This striking stick pin was made in the shape of an arrow head. It features a sparkly cognac-colored diamond of approximately 10 points (a tenth of a carat), but it looks bigger. Above and below the diamond are 2 lovely (cultured?) champagne-colored pearls...

A pair of 14Kt yellow gold 1960-s Victorian style openwork earrings are centered by a pair of 8 X 6 millimeter oval fiery cabochon opals. The earrings have posts and the overall measurements are 12X 17 millimeters.

A cast rectangular top decorated with what look like applied and incised stylized scrollwork; the surface is textured and is unevenly oxidized. The sides exhibit clamp-like elements and the band shoulders bear engraved geometric designs. The band is flattened, and on the inside is marked with the German crown and moon, 800, and what looks like a worn maker’s mark. The style looks like transitional art deco/art modern; the ring is dated conservatively. It is sized at a 7. Weight: 5.9 grams

Henning Koppel designed these modernist earrings for Georg Jensen, Denmark, c.1950's. They each measure 1 1/4" by 3/4" and are screwback style. Each is signed "GEORG JENSEN(in dotted oval) STERLING DENMARK 118" and are in excellent condition......

A sterling silver modernist hand wrought cuff bracelet. Measures about 6" around with an additional 7/8" for the gap. Measures 2" at the widest. Marked Sterling and Hand Wrought. Very nice condition with some minor scratches and a little tarnish. Can be worn with the curve facing up or down. Warm patina, heavy layered sterling. Quality piece. Lays nicely on the wrist.

Today I have a most coveted Antonio Pineda onyx crescent bracelet. It is a published design in SILVER SEDUCTION by Stromberg. The height is 1 3/8th's inches and the weight is 117 grams. A well crafted sterling silver brooch or shoeclip by the Chicago silversmith Bjarne Meyer. Beautifully hand hammered silver. Bjarne Meyer later worked for Georg Jensen, USA. Measures 1" across and 2 3/8" high. Marked Sterling and Handwrought by Bjarne. Has an intricate three dimensional repousse floral design and a central green cabochon. Wonderful example of Arts and Crafts silver work.

A rare modernist sterling silver bracelet by the noted jewelry teacher and designer, Adda Husted-Andersen. Husted-Andersen taught in NYC at the Craft Student's League and her work was exhibited as part of the 1946 landmark exhibition, "Modern Jewelry Design" at the Museum of Modern Art. This bracelet is made from flattened and curved pieces of sterling silver intertwined with three brownish green oval cabochons. Measures about 6" around with an opening of about 1"...

An elegant pair of vintage earclips in 18K yellow gold set with pearls. Each earring is set with 19 4.5mm pearls of fine quality. The pearls have cream body color with nice luster, and are estimated at A+ quality. The setting is constructed in a way that it is nearly invisible when the earclips are being worn. The backs retain the original omega clips, but could easily have posts added...

This lovely Art Nouveau lavaliere is unusual with its square lines at the top, making it both charmingly antique and very modern in appearance. It is made of 9 ct gold and is set with amethysts [the smaller stones] and a garnet/glass doublet. ] The pendant is 2" x 1", and is on a 16" 14 k gold chain [modern]. The pendant itself is circa 1900.

A boulder opal sterling silver pendant from the 1960s 1980s. This 1-3/8 x 7/8" pendant features a bezel set natural brown/orange boulder opal with super colour flash and nice three dimensional clarity. It is fiery red with green highlights in the clear opal section (MUCH more vivid and colorful in person than in our pictures) and the sterling setting is unevenly shaped...

Uniquely designed hand made sterling and amethyst cuff, c.1970's. Large and bold, the design has a hand hammered concave disc set with a cabochon amethyst atop a cuff. The disc measures 2 1/8" in diameter and the amethyst is 9/16" in diameter. The cuff is a large scale 2 1/4" wide and the inside circumference measures 7 1/2". It will fit a medium and large wrist. Of good weight, it is in excellent condition...

Here is an interesting portrait in silver, of a wind-swept young person clad in a cloak and hood. It’s very detailed and just lovely. We think it’s a boy (very unusual in jewelry), as the hair seems to be quite short under the hood. The hood itself looks like a cap made from a flower, as seen on fairies in Victorian children’s books. It measures 1-1/8” wide, is hollow, and is marked “STERLING TOP GERMAN SILVER BACK”. The sterling front is in very good condition...

A classic early Matilde Poulat Mexican silver bracelet, its textured sterling wire-work adorned with beading and coral and turquoise cabochons, this piece was made in the 1934-48 period of Matl's creative life as is indicated by its hallmarks. Part of her "flat" as opposed to "repousse" jewelry, the bracelet is perfectly articulated and responds to the wrist's every move in a effortless, gracious way...
