A rare modernist sterling silver cuff bracelet with a ruffled layer by the California jeweler and sculptor, Florence Resnikoff. She was the director of the Jewelry and Metal Arts Program at the California College of the Arts and a founding member of the Metal Arts Guild in San Francisco.

Etched with a cursive Florence behind the ruffle.

Measures approximately 5 1/4" around with an opening of 1 1/4". Probably better for a slim wrist. Can be worn with the ruffled part up or down...

Round two-sided cuff links ringed with inlaid cobalt blue enamel in a scalloped decoration and a central engraved grid pattern. They are well made with a nice heft; connecting rings and bridge bars are secure. Some of the grid pattern has worn off, as shown in the photos. Each button measures 5/8 inch in diameter. There appear to be worn marks on the connecting rings; the bridge bars are marked 800 to indicate silver content. Weight: 8.9 grams total

Dainty and lovely, this enamel, pearl, and sapphire Art Nouveau stickpin is 14k gold and just plain beautiful. The pin is set with seed pearls and a faceted sapphire and the enamel shades from pink to green. The head of the pin is 1/2" and the pin itself 2" in length. Comes with a clutch to protect the end. [No matter how lovely the stickpin, it's bad if you stab yourself!] Circa 1900.

Also an embarrassment, since two gemologists can't determine what the stone or the metal might be. However, this is a very beautiful Egyptian Revival piece which ought to be vintage (or even antique) The enigmatic yellow stone does not appear to be glass and the metal tests as 10 k gold, but by this time uncertainty rules! The pin is 2 5/8" overall, and the decorative head is 7/8", so it's large enough to make a statement on your lapel. We think it's circa 1900, but are not sure...

Offered on consignment... Circa mid-century, here is a large stunning amethyst ring which I believe is from Mexico. It is unmarked. Tested to be 940 silver, so greater than sterling 925. It is a magnificent ring, reminiscent of the work of Fred Davis and Abraham Paz. The amethyst is a gorgeous old stone with quartz marbling, natural inclusions, and lots of character. Outstanding pair of early Art Nouveau 18K yellow gold earrings set with aquamarines. The surmounts, each set with three aquamarine beads, support double chains suspending shields set with oval aquamarines, in turn fringed with chain drops terminating in balls. The shields have foliate decoration that just begin to show the Art Nouveau sensibility. The chain elements are textured in the style more often associated with Etruscan Revival pieces...

A rare pair of 18K yellow gold earclips in the Sputnik style by H Stern. The domes are bezel-set with round amethysts, citrines, aquamarines, green and pink tourmalines, and garnets. This design was created in the 1950s to highlight the range of colored gemstones available from the mines of Stern's native Brazil. It later came to be called "Sputnik" for its resemblance to the spiky Soviet satellite launched in 1957...
