This dainty pin was made by Hermann & Speck, well-known jewelers of Pforzheim in Germany in the years around the turn of the last century. It is centered by a blue sapphire, and it has a pearl dangle. It is marked 333 for 8kt gold, but when we tested it, it held for 10k (this is not unusual; however we had never seen a mark for 8kt gold before! Very unusual!)...

A very good Victorian 14K yellow gold stickpin in the Art Nouveau taste. The top of the pin is in the shape of a horse’s head completed with beautiful enameling. The eye is set with a small round cut ruby. The head is superimposed over a gold horseshoe studded with small old European cut diamonds. The gemstones, though small, are very good quality and provide a nice amount of sparkle. The back is marked “14K”.

An Edwardian or Late Victorian 15k yellow gold 4 leaf clover brooch pin circa 1900. This pin has no gold stamp (and it tests as 15k). Measuring 1-3/8 x 9/16", it features a four leaf clover, it has a c-clasp and it weighs 2.7 grams. This strikingly beautiful pin is an interesting mixture of the Art Nouveau and Victorian styles. The Victorians loved to use real insects in jewelry. This particular type was a favorite.The Nouveau jewelers loved naturalistic motifs, but generally didn’t incorporate organic substances – yet the design of the framework is very Nouveau. A Victorian 10k yellow gold garnets and pearls ring circa 1900. This size 5-3/4 late Victorian ring features two antique cut garnets flanking a diagonal setting with three seed pearls. It measures 1/2 x 3/16" across the setting, it weighs 2.3 grams and it is samped 10K with a JS maker's mark. We believe this lovely (unmarked but tested) 10kt gold jewel is from a time when cannetille work was the vogue because gold was scarce: very fine gold wires twisted into thin strands and then formed into rosettes and other shapes. The amethyst is a delicate shade of purple, and weighs approximately 2.5 carats – it’s very deep. (Amethysts are said to bring calm, and help banish headaches.) The whole lavalier, including the bale, measures 1-1/2 x 9/16”...

This is a classic “cigar band” ring from around the turn of the last century, and moving into the Edwardian era, often called a “gypsy” ring, made from richly-colored 18kt yellow gold. The center stone is a diamond, the outer two stones are rubies. It has decorative scroll work on the shoulders. The hallmarks are for Chester, England, 1903, and there is an illegible maker’s mark. A 10k rose gold pink cameo stickpin circa 1895. This late Victorian 2-1/2" stickpin has a carved pink coral 1 x 1/2" lady portrait cameo mounted in 10k rose gold. This pin is stamped 10K GOLD and it has a deep pin mount (7/16" from back to pin) for possible wear on a heavy scarf or jacket. It weighs 2.9 grams and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

This pair of 10kt yellow gold cuff links, sporting an ivy motif, is a favorite of ours! Both because they are pretty, and because of ivy is symbolic of marriage and friendship. Sweet! The decorated ends measure ¾” x ½”, and the total weight is 3.2g. Unmarked, they test at 10k, and we believe them to be from the Victorian/Art Nouveau period. In excellent condition. A very nice late Victorian hinged bangle bracelet worked in a pierced scrolling design. The front features a row of three square cabochon rhodolite garnets set diagonally. The rhodolites have a lovely purplish hue that distinguishes them from their more common all reddish-brown garnet cousins. The bangle is fairly wide, but the piercing gives it an elegant lightness. The clasp is marked “14K.”

A Victorian 14k rose gold seed pearls flower or starburst bar brooch pin from around 1900. This stylish late Victorian 1-1/4 x 1/2" pin features natural seed pearls in a pinwheel style setting. This piece is stunning! Some marriages are made in Heaven, and this is one. This brooch is a marriage of three Victorian elements: the bar pin with six diamonds, the enamel bow, and the heart-shaped enamel slide. The bow and slide appear to have been part of the same piece. The pin is 12 k gold, and the bow and slide 18 k. The bar pin is 1 3/4" long.

Here is an exceptional chased gold cast bracelet. The pierced raised dome setting highlights sapphire cabochons. There are no marks but testing confirms that it is 18k. 7-1/2" x 3/8"~16 grams.

Here is a coral garland (also referred to as “festoon” or “swag”) necklace, consisting of 8 coral cabuchons of graduated lengths and sizes. The three longest drops are on rigid bars. Victorian 14K yellow gold chain with brushed finish, chunky links approx 1/2 inch wide. Total length is 21 inches. Clasp is a removable spring ring (very hard to find, typical of Victorian period jewelry). Links are hollow, great condition, one link with slight dent (see photo), not noticeable when worn. Very modern looking. Amazing condition.

A lovely 14K gold Edwardian long chain set at regular intervals with round brilliant cut amethysts in collet settings. The necklace is completed with a dog clip clasp.
