Two-piece sterling buckle with woman's head & hair made by UNGER BROTHERS, Newark, c.1905. Each piece measures approx. 1 1/2" wide by 1 3/8" high and the total width is 2 7/8". Woman has period art nouveau face, hair, and a rose set in the hair. Signed "UB STERLING 925 FINE" but is a bit hard to read. Handmade and repouseed. Very reminiscent of jewelry created in the 1950s by Graziella Laffi, the Italian-born jewelry designer habitually referred to as “the Spratling of Peru”, this is a rarely surfacing creation of Carmen Beckmann’s. Thick, hand-hammered silver sheet that was then oxidized is used to form the bracelet’s main body. A fine modernist 18K yellow gold ring by Burle Marx set with an intricately carved bi-color watermelon tourmaline in the "forma livre" (free form) style. Haroldo Burle Marx was particularly known for his use of large gemstones, often fashioned by carving or tumbling rather than faceting, a technique he invented in 1948. The colors of the tourmaline are nicely contrasting an dhighly saturated. The gold surfaces are decorated with the fine florentined engraving typical of Marx's pieces...

Vibrant red coral stones in these vintage sterling clip back earrings and matching pin. Unsigned, but in the style of Frank Patania, Thunderbird Shop. The earrings measure 1 1/8" by 3/4" and weigh 15 grams total. The pin measures 1 3/4" by 1 1/8" and weighs 13 grams. Fine original condition with no chips or cracks to the beautiful coral stones. A great set!

A rare, stunning vintage sterling necklace and earrings by Modernist Joachim S'Paliu of Cordorba, Spain. Born in 1944, he produced a significant line of jewelry during the 1960's and 70's. This big, bold, neck ring and attached pendant opens and closes with a tight hook clasp on one side of the neck ring. The neck ring measures 15" around total and the pendant measures 3 1/4" long including the bale. Total weigh of the necklace is 70 grams. The earrings are clip backs with posts for pierced ears...

An Italian 18k yellow gold ring of two daisy flowers. This vintage size 6-1/2 or 6.5 attractive statement band is simple but well made. One daisy is slightly smaller than the other, and the centre of the flowers have a raised and textured finish. It is marked 750 and Italy only, and weighs 4.4 grams. Very nicely finished, and in excellent condition, with no breaks, corrosion damage or known repairs...
