A nice pair of 14K yellow gold cufflinks in the form of horse stirrups. The toggle backs are marked “585” and “Germany 14Kt” and have the maker’s mark “MV”.

A finely constructed bracelet and matching clip earrings by A & K, Denmark. Streamlined mid century modern curves. Marked Sterling, A&K on the back of each piece. Bracelet measures 7 1/4" long and almost 5/8" across. Has a snap in clasp that holds securely. Earrings measure 1" long and 5/8" at the widest. Clips hold tightly. Very nice condition, minor surface scratches. Nicely textured along the edges. Nice weight, quality set. Great mid century modernist design.

An important, rare modernist brooch by the renowned African American jeweler, Art Smith. Has a copper ball caged in swirled brass coils. The ball moves for an interesting effect.

Measures 3 1/4" long and 2 3/8" at the widest. Marked with the 'Art Smith' script signature. Has a secure rollover clasp. In fine condition with areas of tarnish.

A wonderful example of Mid Century Modernist design.

These cuff links measure 3/4" x 3/4" x 1/8". They are sterling silver with a geo wooden inlay. One of the cuff links is marked BETO 925 and TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO. They have a good heft and are in excellent condition (better than photos).

From the DeLillo Archive comes this glorious set of giant unfoiled ruby red stones set in gold metal with large pearl spacers. Designed by Robert Clark (formerly with Miriam Haskell--note the seed pearl and flower hook), the necklace is 1 1/2” wide and 16” long with a 3” extender & an oval metal hang tag signed DeLillo. The clip earrings are a hair under 1 1/2" (4.1 cm) long by 3/4" (2.2 cm) wide. They are unsigned. Both pieces have never been worn and are in pristine condition...

This Antonio Pineda ring features an oval turquoise cabochon alongside a pearl in this very flattering modernist design. It's a book piece design shown with a jade stone on p. 136 of Silver Seduction : The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda. Size is a generous 6.5. Face measures 3/4" x 13/16". Weight is 9.6 grams. Signed and hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco crown, JVL Taxco 970, and the eagle assay 208. In excellent vintage condition.

A handsome pair of mid-century modern 14K gold and malachite cufflinks reminiscent of an Aztec design. The arch cabochons of malachite have very nice color n markings. The gold surfaces are stippled for added textural interest. The toggle backs are stamped "14k."

This 1960-s 14Kt white gold open heart necklace is 17” long. The 14Kt white gold heart is prong set with 16 full cut diamonds with the approximate total weight of 0.50Ct. The hart measures ¾” wide and 15/16” high including the rabbit ear bail.

This two tone 14Kt gold graduated equestrian bracelet is an original period piece dating back to the 1960-s. The connecting links are 14Kt white gold while the rest of the bracelet is 14Kt yellow gold. The center is a 3 dimensional horse in a horseshoe, flanked on either side by bits intertwined with a horseshoe, followed by a horse head in a stirrup and before the clasp there is a stirrup strap with a buckle. The 6 6/8” bracelet is 1” wide at the center and tapers to 3/16” at the ends.

This 14Kt yellow gold 3 dimensional puffed heart charm/pendant has a brushed finish, and on the front a star and palm branch design. The heart is 7/16” high and 7/16” wide.

This pretty pendant features a large amethyst, measuring approximately 10mm across. It is set in a framework of bright gold leaves, which is very much in the Arts and Crafts style. There is another leaf on the bale, and a fringe of tiny seed pearls dangling below – so sweet! From the top of the bale to the bottom of the fringe it measures 1-1/2”, and from side to side it is 3/4” at the widest point. It is marked and tested 14k gold and weighs 1.8g...

A vintage 14Kt yellow gold movable charm/pendant depicts a sitting cat. This fabulous feline sports a bow-tie and a movable head. The cat is made of solid 14Kt gold (not hollow), and measures ¾” high and ½” wide. This charm/pendant would make any cat fancier proud.

This handmade ring features a substantial domed top of cross-hatched openwork and an adjustable band. It dates around 1960-1970, and bears the marks of husband and wife designers Else Berntsen Hughes and Paul Hughes, including the H mark for their workshop, Studio Else and Paul. I have seen these brooches described as unsigned Hattie Carnegie or unsigned Kenneth Jay Lane. The colors are fabulous and the detail is wonderful. An unusual color combination.

Toucans are the Brazilian symbol for the Amazon Forest where they reside. They are predators and hunters sand have astounding eye-site to see small prey through the dense leaf canopy of the jungle. The pin is 3" tall x 1 3/4" wide.

These gorgeous earrings each display two oval amethyst flower cabs, stemming out of leaves. They measure 1 1/2" long x 7/8" from leaf to leaf. The back of one is marked MEXICO STERLING. They are in excellent condition.

A hinged bangle of irregular, wavy design, solidly cast, by prominent Taxco designer Erika Hult de Corral. The spring mechanism is in good working order, keeping the bracelet securely in place. The bracelet has a 6 ¾-inch inner circumference, and is quite comfortable to wear. It bears the maker’s ‘Ric’ mark, as well as the Mexican eagle mark for sterling. Gross weight: 53.5 grams

These fine cuff links have a diameter of 3/4". They display an abstract character: a J or a P? The backs are marked LEONORE DOSKOW HANDMADE STERLING. The toggle findings are also marked STERLING. The cuff links are in excellent condition, circa 1950s-1960s.

A nice pair of modernist 14K yellow gold and pearl earrings. 5.2-millimeter pearl studs suspend faceted gold bars that, in turn, suspend open-work gold spheres studded with pearls. Each sphere comprises a dozen 4.9 millimeter cultured pearls of very good quality. The body color is cream with rose overtones. The luster is bright and the surfaces are smooth. Each of the spheres is completed with the addition of prong-set seed pearls. The spheres dangle freely and exhibit lots of movement. ...

It's been a while since I presented a piece by Gerardo Lopez but he is one of my favorite Taxco maestros, a talented silversmith and designer who excelled in the art of repoussage. I believe Lopez was at his best when he created pectoral necklaces and clamper bracelets and it is an exquisite example of the latter form that I am showing here. A rare necklace and matching earrings made of alternating Sterling Silver and Rosewood tubes by William Spratling from Taxco. The marks on this set date them to his Third Design Period: 1951 - 1967.

Amazing vintage pair of genuine natural ruby earrings with diamonds set in 14k yellow gold. Each earring features 21 marquise cut (7pts each) prong set rubies, and 6 round cut diamonds, with the rubies having a total of 1.47 ctw per earring. In pristine condition, these pierced earrings measure 5/8 inches long and have a 1” drop (including earring) and hang perfectly (see 2nd photo). Classic Antonio Pineda bracelet that is board room sleek with a look that goes anywhere. The bracelet has a 2.5in. diameter and 5/8th in. high stature. There is a light amount of patina which will be left for the buyer to do with as they prefer. The hallmark is signed correctly as shown. It is hard to find one in this condition without dents or damage. I believe the stones to be a low sheen obsidian. Everything goes with the color black. Collector quality
