A modernist large brooch by the noted NYC jeweler, Paul Lobel. Made of sterling silver with a wire overlay. Signed on the back, LOBEL, Sterling.

Measures 1 3/4" across and 3 3/4" high. Has a rollover closure that holds securely. Has some tarnish, minor surface scratches and a little extra solder where the wire is attached which is original. Could also be worn as a pendant with a chain through the large loop.

This traditional, Norwegian solje pin, c. 1950’s, was made by Aksel Holmsen. It has an appealing stamped design and six dangling, concave disks. The back is signed, “NORWAY STERLING 925 S,” and has the Holmsen maker’s mark (2 overlapping silversmith tools--see pictures). The brooch has a C-catch and a diameter of 1”. It is in excellent condition.

A lovely 14K gold pendant designed as a young woman's face captured in a crescent moon. She wears a large brimmed bucket hat with trailing ribbons in the style of the early 20s. In Victorian jewelry symbology, the crescent moon was a reminder of the moon goddess Selene (AKA Luna) and was often used to signal female empowerment. The reverse is marked "14K."

An organic mid century modern brooch by the American studio jeweler, Paul Miller. This brooch, executed in sterling silver with an interesting marbleized stone, measures 2 7/8" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked Sterling, Paul Miller on the back. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. Has a little tarnish and a few minor surface scratches. Very fine example of his work.

A 14k white gold ring set with a natural deep blue sapphire with four flanking genuine diamonds circa 1960s. This vintage size 3-1/4 ring measures 3/16" across the stone; the sapphire measures ~35 points (calculated). It is stamped 14K with a V in a D maker's mark and it weighs 2.6 grams. This small, elegant ring would look good on your pinkie (or pinky) and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

This Joseff set is elegantly simple and simply elegant---and oh so wearable. It is done in the semi matte finish referred to as Russian gold. This finish is the one for which Joseff is known. The brooch is signed Joseff, an early signature later changed to Joseff of Hollywood. I believe this is a later set produced when the company reissued some early pieces. The brooch is 4 7/8" long, 3" wide. The clip earrings are 2 1/4" long and 1 3/4" wide. The brooch has the Joseff signature.

Fabulous vintage bib necklace which is most likely a Frank Hess design for Miriam Haskell, from the 1930s or 1940s. With graduated sizes of beautiful solid glass dark blue beads in lily form, mounted on chains in a characteristic Hess for Haskell style, and with long dimensional brass leaves. Rare and beautiful muff chain from the Art Nouveau period. Made with 18K yellow gold links in a stunning nouveau design, interspersed with faceted garnet beads, 31 links, 30 garnet beads, total. Links are 7mm wide, garnet beads are 7-8mm in diameter. Total length is 54 inches, total weight is 54.2 grams. Circa 1890 bangle bracelet made of 14k rose gold, diamonds and enamel. It has 20 Old European cut diamonds totaling approximately 1.4 ct. The center panel that the diamonds are set in is probably platinum but is not marked and cannot be tested.
