A very good bronze figure of a hound by Piere-Jules Mene (1810-1877). The hound stands alert look over his shoulder at the viewer. The rectangular base is well-textured with rocks and branches, typical of Mene's style. The shape of the base suggests that the casting is from Mene's own foundry and dates to the 1840s. A fine 8-1/4" tall Canadian Puvirnituq Nunavik (Northern Quebec) native stone sculpture by "Eli" E-91328. An antique oil on board painting of a chestnut thoroughbred in the barn, 9 1/2" by 12 1/2" plus 7/8" inch wide contemporary wood frame, signed with conjoined "AS" or "SA" monogram and dated 1899 at center left. The work is most certainly by a listed artist. A winter scene print by noted watercolorist and illustrator, Howard Watson. Watson was the "Artist in Residence" at the White House during the Carter Administration.There are tiny thumbtack punctures at the very end corners of the print(not impacting the print and not visible). Professionally framed, the print measures approximately 23" x 20" (probably larger but not measured out of frame). The frame itself is 28-1/2" x 25".

The painting and the gilt metal case are in excellent condition. Sight size is 1 5/8" by 1 1/4", and the case size is 2 1/4" by 1 1/2".

Arthur Bowen Davies, American, 1862-1928, "Circling Doves". This transfer lithograph by Arthur Davies measures 16 5/8 x 11 9/16 inches in an edition of 25 or less. Created in 1921, it is signed by the artist on the lower margin. Printed on medium weight paper, it is #189 in the Czestochowski catalog. Davies was known for his unique decorative style, often visualized in a fantasy world of female figures...

Japanese limited edition copperplate etching titled “Kyoto #7: Kozan-ji” by Tanaka Ryohei (1933-2019). Pencil-signed, dated '96, and numbered 141/150 in the lower margin. The title in kanji is at the bottom left margin. Paper: 11 5/8" x 10 1/4" (image: 6 3/8" x 8"). Very good overall condition with a possible faintly visible smudge in the upper left margin corner. There are a few distressed fibers on the back, but the print does not appear to have been previously framed.
