Small oil on canvas laid on board, 9" by 7" framed, unsigned, the view being an extensive hazy landscape with high snowy peaks in the distance, a spindly tree in the middle ground. I have searched without success for a signature. Likely dates before 1940 and more than likely by a listed artist. Light areas in immediate foreground are probably old losses, which have been in turn varnished over.

Watercolor and ink drawing of the iconic world-class sight, the Parthenon atop the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. The work is signed in red in Greek at lower right and there is an inscription in Greek handwriting on the reverse.
