This is an original drypoint and etching by French artist Alphonse Legros (1837-1911) The title of this work is: "Les Faiseurs de Fagots", created circa 1870 this image measures 15X10 7/8 inches, hand signed in pencil lower right border, very fine condition, the image appears in the Bliss catalog as image number 182, ii/xiv, the second state of 14.
Continental oval miniature painting, "Dolores", depicting a young beauty with flowing hair and large hoop earrings, signed 'Wagner', captured in an oval gilt frame within a rectangular frame with velvet lining, and titled in graphite verso, plaque 3.25"h x 2.5"w; frame 6'h x 5"w. No condition issues noted.

A nicely painted miniature painting of a blue-eyed gentleman wearing a black tie, coat and black silk vest. The artist has chosen a nice blue background, complementing the sitter's eyes.
The condition of the painting the case are excellent. The spots on the painting are bits of dust, and the lighter color black along the inner edges of the coat are intentionally painted that way. The case size is 2 3/4" by 2 3/8".
Finely executed pastel on paper drawing of bridges spanning a major river, presumably the Rhein in Germany, 11 1/2" by 15 1/2" (15 1/2" by 19 1/2" as framed), signed at lower left by listed German artist RUDOLF MULLER-GERHARDT (1873-1962) (and sometimes spelled as GERHARD). Though listed the artist is apparently not well known...

This etching with sandpaper ground was created and printed by American artist Harold Kerr Eby. The title: Little Franklin is named for a Ledge located off the coast of Friendship Maine. The image measrues 8 1/2X14 5/8 inches. Printed in an edition of 100 in 1937. Eby left a skim of unwiped ink on the plate to create tone in the water. A fine impression, nicely framed with archival materials.
A very decorative and beautifully painted oil on canvas of a black woman's head in profile, a focal point being the finely painted pearl earring near the center of the composition, signed at lower left "GRAHAME" dated there 87, and with title on stretcher "Le Pendentif" (The Pendant). Note the artistic license the artist has taken with his interpretation of the hair area. The painter is celebrated Belgian artist PIERRE GRAHAME (1938-1996), who passed away at the young age of 57...

John Henry Hill, American, 1839-1922, "Two Men in a Sailboat in a Rough Sea". This is an atmospheric marine etching by J. Henry Hill, after the painting by Otis Weber. The image measures 14 1/2 x 18 1/2 inches, published in 1886 by Klackner, New York, pencil signed on the lower right margin. Hill came from a family of artists and became a well known landscape and marine painter keeping with the pre-raphaelite tradition, influenced by John Ruskin and David Johnson.
