Small contemporary unframed painting, 10" by 8", signed at lower right "Harper", of a classic old late Victorian gingerbread house, complete with the turret rooms and wraparound porch that was so common in homes built during that period. It would have been nice had the artist identified the address, but that was not to be. The work is in excellent condition.

Watercolor on paper painting of a traditional Chinese junk near the shore of a reedy body of water, 15" by 11 1/2" (20 1/2" by 16 1/2" in simple blond wood look framing), signed at lower left in pencil with what appears to be the name "Tang". The transparent washes and deft handling make for a pleasing and calming image that is a fine alternative to a print. The work is affixed or pressed against the backing by the glass---there is not a proper mount.

A group of three engravings probably by Johannas and Raphael Sadeler of Christian anchorites or hermits. The prints are after Maartin De Vos. These images were widely circulated in the early 17th century and printed and re-engraved by engravers other than the Sadelers. Interestingly of the three in this group two have no title, though they are trimmed right to the image and perhaps the title was removed...

In 1879 John Everett Millais produced Cherry Ripe, the oil painting of a little girl sitting on a tree trunk, next to her a large green leaf topped with red cherries. Antique watercolor painting of a castle-like structure in an extensive landscape, 7 1/4" by 10 7/8", 14" by 17" in frame, signed with initials "M. N" and dated 1882 and, curiously, also 1888, at lower left corner. This is likely by an amateur watercolorist. The work is a survivor, with paper browning, broken off corners, and a small puncture at center right. Presently it is loose and unmounted within the framing.

The work measures 10 1/2" by 8 1/2" inside the present brown mat (16 1/2" by 12 1/2" framed). Found in Los Angeles, the work is on English paper---I suppose it could be English. The hand that created this was talented and it is a lovely little still life.

In the style of noted and popular late 19th century/early 20th century pastel artist WILLIAM CHANDLER, this is a nicely executed work featuring purple grapes, a sectioned orange, a peach in the back, and some seeds and grape leaves. Measuring 10 3/4" by 14" (15 1/2" by 18 1/2" as framed), signed "MAYER" at lower right, I have been unable to match this up with a listed artist, but the work, dating to as late as 1930 or so, is very decorative and folky and in excellent condition, as is the frame.

A colorful oil on canvas of two women and a donkey or horse in a tropical village setting of Haiti, probably executed circa 1960's or 1970's. A small etching of one of the classic old buildings of America's oldest coastal cities, perhaps New Orleans or Charleston South Carolina, titled "Street Cart", numbered 91/150 and signed "Godzala" or similar.
