Italian 20th century watercolor of old church or cathedral, 16" by 13" (27" by 23" framed), signed at lower left "Brunacci" or "Brunalli" or similar. There is no listed artist by these names, but the artist was talented in the medium and created a satisfying work. Condition is excellent. Age would be circa mid twentieth century----perhaps a tourist souvenir piece.

An oil on canvas painting of an older priest or monk eavesdropping on the conversation of a pair of younger men of the cloth in a richly-appointed, classic interior (library or study), signed by artist at lower left "M. Klein Wylock". This detailed, finely painted work dates to the late 20th century, but the artist was clearly familiar with the similar works of the late 19th century by German, French and Italian artists working in the manner of Eduard von Grutzner (1846-1925)...

Large, early charcoal drawing of a nineteenth century house in a leafy landscape, signed at lower right corner by listed American artist HIRAM HAROLD GREEN (1865-1930). 25" by 18 1/2" inside the mat, 34 1/4" by 27" framed. Green was born in upstate New York and died in Buffalo. A painter, illustrator and etcher, he became known around the Buffalo area for his birds eye views of Niagara Falls...

By well listed French artist MAURICE ROMBERG DE VAUCORBEIL (1882-1943), this is a large original 1916 lithograph poster used for propaganda and recruitment. The poster (behind Plexiglas) measures 47 1/2" by 34" (53" by 40" very tastefully framed in dark wood). I have not opened this up to inspect as it is nicely sealed, but the previous owner spent $500 on framing in Beverly Hills, so I would imagine that the mounting and framing was done to professional standards, perhaps even with linen...

Esther Anna Hunt (1875-1951) is known today in California art circles as a keen observer of the traditional culture as displayed in San Francisco's Chinatown. Her paintings and plaster bust models of young girls in traditional costume make regular appearances in auctions of California art. This work appears to have been created by one of Hunt's many early 20th century imitators. The watercolor is signed at lower right corner "A. Fowler" and is dated there April 1912...

An impressionist painting on canvas, unframed, 16" by 20", signed by a contemporary artist "RG", the subject a covered bridge of the northeastern states. The work is in excellent condition, and the standard size means it should be easy and economical to find a suitable frame.

The canvas stencil on reverse is of Reeves & Sons, 113 Cheapside, London (the well-known art supplies firm moved to that address in 1857 and remained there until 1890). Found in Massachusetts, a mixed media (pastel, pencil and black ink) old drawing on paper of a clipper ship at sea, 7" by 9 1/2" (15" by 18 1/2" framed behind glass), signed at lower right corner with initials "A.L" or "A. G." or similar. The ship flies an unidentified flag at the stern. I feel this is likely European though it could possibly be of American origin...

A beautifully executed work in pastel, 18" by 25 1/2", in a narrow metal poster-type frame behind glass with no mat, signed at upper left and dated there 1977 in Roman numerals (LXXVII)) by the noted well listed American artist SHELDON C. Fine pastel drawing of a seated young woman, on gray-blue paper, 18 1/2" by 12 1/2" (23 1/2" by 17 1/2" in mid century white frame), unsigned. The artist was clearly very skilled but unfortunately failed to sign the work. An elegant interior is suggested by the orange pottery vessel at far right. The young lady's clothing suggests that the work could be old----maybe early 20th century, despite appearing to be quite fresh. Once again, it is difficult to determine without a date or artist name...
