A Hand Colored Botanical Print Portraying Four Varieties of Watsonia. The Artist is the Victorian Jane Webb Loudon (1807-1858), and the Print is from the book “The Ladies Flower Garden of Ornamental Bulbous Plants” (plate 9), published in 1841 by Day and Haghe London, Lithographer to Queen Victoria. The print is triple matted and elegantly framed. Dimensions; 19.5" x 18". Excellent condition. See also item number 601990 (1542A).

A Fumio Tamura 1969 Nokemono framed litho print 2/7. This evocative semi-erotic colour lithograph print entitled "Nokemono" (translated from Japanese - outcast) was produced in 1969 by Fumio Tamura (Japan, 1941-). Fumio Tamura was born in the Nagano prefecture, and he graduated from Tokyo Art College in 1968, so this 1969 litho dates from early in his career. It is in a metal frame, and it measures 24-1/2" x 21", with an image size of 18" x 14-1/2"...

One of Maki’s favorite themes was the image shown here. Some outstanding ones are shown in the listing. I reckon Maki did about 25 different prints with the theme Child. Several little children can be seen swimming in the image in frame 9. The child in the right of this list panel is the image imprinted in the cover of Festive Wine, to which Maki contributed 21 images in 1969.

Original oil painting on panel by well-known Dutch painter Willem Van Den Berg (1886-1970), circa 1930-1940. A wonderfully compact composition with fishermen of Urk (Holland) hauling their nets and contemplating their catch with boats in the background. This painting measures 26cm by 19 cm (painting alone) and 44cm by 38cm in its frame. Inscribed verso and on the frame "WVB #128"; also "FG #919" verso, and "Guildhall #919" on the frame.
