Pencil signed, numbered limited edition print, 18" by 21 1/2" inside the mat, (25" by 28 3/4" as framed), titled "Pareja con Kiva" ("Couple with Kiva") by noted Arizona-based artist AMADO MAURILLO PENA. Pena is known for his Southwestern genre themes, dealing with the Native American and the land upon which he lives. See the web for much more information. The title is "Showery Weather", and the print was issued in the year 1889. Moran was the youngest of the well-known Moran brothers of American art (Thomas, and Edward). He was born in England and was in the United States by 1844...

Oil on Masonite painting of a high desert of the Southwest, 8" by 9 3/4", unframed, signed in red with initials at lower left. Probably dates to the 1960's or 1970's. Put an eight by ten inch frame on it and you will have a very nice little landscape for your wall.

Oil on board, 14 1/2" by 20 1/2" as framed, unsigned, the subject an extensive hilly landscape with distant structures. I believe the scene is more than likely American. The painting could use a cleaning as there is discolored varnish, causing the colors to appear more brown and less blue/white in the sky. There is some soiling at top mostly and a small 1/8" or less pressure mark at center in the sky. Overall this painting makes for a pleasant and decorative landscape...

The work to the unaided eye appears to be an original drawing but magnification reveals the tell-tale clues to the silkscreen process. The black paper sheet measures 27 1/2" by 21 1/2" and is unframed (there is 1/8" Plexi sheet that protects it)...

Small oil on canvas laid on board painting of a man in traditional outfit with distinctive hat. The mid 20th century work is signed illegibly at lower left corner. This would appear to be from Ecuador, or if not there, another Andean nation such as Peru or Bolivia. Measurements are 4" by 3 1/2" (7 1/2" by 7 1/4" as framed, with blue velvet liner). An interesting addition to a small wall or nook.

By the noted illustrator artist RICHARD STINE (1941-) this is a print, "Mad woman trying to bury delicate feelings once and for all", hand signed in blue ball point at lower left. This does not seem to be a limited edition but it is hand signed. Stine is a familiar name due to his uniquely humorous and whimsical images, which though cartoonish delve into philosophy, and, an online description writes, "love, art, freedom, isolation, desire, conflict, dreams, creativity"...

The work on heavy watercolor paper measures 12 1/2" by 17 1/4" and is currently housed in an old frame and mat that should all be discarded (that measuring 21" by 25")...

The artist was born in La Paz, Bolivia, and was in Europe while very young, receiving art instruction. She trained in printmaking under Johnny Friedlaender. Pencil signed at lower right, numbered 201/250 at lower left, is this circa 1975 modern print by the noted listed Israeli-born (Haifa), French artist who also worked in America, NISSAN ENGEL (1931-). The work measures 20" by 15" in its silvery metallic framing. The colors do not seem to be faded, though there is rippling in the paper visible in most of the margins, likely from exposure to a damp environment. There is no mold however...

The scene is one of tranquility and prosperity. The house would have probably dated to about 1920, but the painting is contemporary. The signature appears as possibly "Ursula Lee". This is ready for the wall.

This is an unframed watercolor painting on heavy watercolor paper, the sheet 15 1/2" by 22, the subject an mansard-roofed old 19th century house in a winter landscape, signed at lower left by a Los Angeles area artist of note, Ann Murdoch (nee Sanguinetti).
