The title of this work is: High Street, Oxford, circa 1900 when he and his wife spent time touring europe. A wonderful impression of a rainy night in the city. Richly inked, pencil signed and titled in the lower border. The image measures 10X12 inches. Framed.

Caron appears to have painted primarily landscapes, almost always with an impressionist hand...

The work features a young gentleman and lady of nobility in a lavish classic salon interior setting complete with pillow, stringed musical instrument such as a lute, and other luxury surroundings. A French Poster that belonged to the actress Greer Garson. This was lent to the College of Santa Fe for exhibition when Garson appeared in the production of Madwoman of Chaillot. On the back Garson has written the information, shown in photo. Measures about 16 1/2" by 23 3/4", frame overall about 17 1/2" by 24 3/4". Appears to be attached to backing. Nice Art Nouveau Style and interesting provenance.

Gouache on paper drawing of a Baltimore Oriole and a blue jay, 12 1/2" by 16" (23 3/4" by 28" framed), signed at lower right by the noted Disney illustrator AUGUST CURLEY LENOX (1908-1986). This is a really nicely executed work, in the style of an illustrator like Lynn Bogue Hunt or William Schaldach or Rex Brasher. Colors are vivid and the realism is such that the viewer can almost "hear" these birds. I suppose it could have been executed as a book or magazine illustration...

An etching on paper, measuring 14 1/2" by 10 1/4" inside the mat (21 1/2" by 16 1/2" as framed), signed in pencil at lower left margin and numbered 29/150 at lower right margin, with a dedication (in the plate) at upper left and date 5 November 1906, by the noted German Jewish artist HERMANN STRUCK (1876-1944). The subject is a bearded man wearing a yarmulke. Struck was born in Berlin of Orthodox Jewish parentage...

Robert Shaw was a contemporary of Howard Pyle and J.D. Chalfont. - He is best known for his Delaware scenes and did not exhibit widely outside Wilmington and seems to have had little interest in exhibiting nationally. He did, however, show in the Delaware Building at the World's Columbian Exposition and also at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1890. This work is dated 1909
