Antique original lithograph of a standing nude by Julius John Pommer (American, 1895-1945). This wonderful nude dates from the thirties. It is dedicated l.l. and pencil signed l.r. Offered framed. Pommer was born in San Francisco and studied at the CSFA under Otis Oldfield. He was active in the Federal Arts Project in the thirties. Well listed (cf. A well painted oil on board landscape of green fields in the foreground and a tan one in the distance with a group of trees on the left under a cloudy blue sky. The frame is a molded gilt frame. It is a good size; 19 inches tall by 21 ½ inches wide. With frame it is 26 ½ inches by 24 inches.

PAIR of chromolithograph prints of California's famous Big Trees, published in 1873 by Louis Prang. Each print measures 14" by 7 1/4" (17 1/2" by 10 1/2" framed). A total of FOUR watercolor paintings, framed as pairs, in two frames, each watercolor 10" by 4 7/8", each frame 17 3/4" by 17 3/4". All of the watercolors are signed at lower left with initials "FD". Judging from the scenes, these are likely Northern European and of late nineteenth century date. Condition is excellent, one frame has a little nick at top right. Some research may help determine the identity of the artist.

A nicely crafted oil on wood panel painting of an ancient castle or coastal fortification, likely Italy, signed at lower left "Tiboni". The piece measures 7" by 11" (13" by 16 1/4" nicely framed). The work was likely created in the 1950's or 1960's. Written in pencil on reverse is "70 Pounds" (actually, symbol for British Pounds). A light cleaning would be beneficial but not mandatory. The piece is of a nice size that would fit many smaller walls.

For the den or man cave of the fly fisherman, here is a rustic painting on plywood panel of a trout leaping to catch what appears to be a large yellow moth or butterfly flitting just above the water's surface. As Haku Maki aficionados know, Maki did many prints depicting the kanji for ox or bull. This one, Z-200b, is one of his great bulls. One of a small edition of 75, it is 12.5 in wide X 19in high.
