A 1940s Henri Matisse lithograph from a rare edition book 10x8” framed in a beautiful olivewood frame measuring 16x12”

Oil on canvasboard, 12" by 16" (17" by 21" as framed), signed at lower right by artist CURT PAULSON. I do not see a listing but the artist had a skilled hand. The style reminds a bit of California desert painters William Darling or Fred Chisnall. There is impasto, vigorous brush stroke, and a grayish blue light over the scene. Apparently original whitish antiqued frame completes this ready for the wall package. Condition is excellent.

Arthur J.T. Briscoe 1873-1943 British This is a fine original etching by British marine artist Arthur Briscoe. The title is: The Main Brace, created and printed in 1929. The image measures 13 11/16X9 15/16 inches, printed on an antique wove type sheet. It is hand signed with pen and ink and also numbered 39/75. Gouache on paper, 16 1/2" by 10 3/4" and 4" on a side mat/frame, signed at lower left in Cyrillic with the possible name "Dreber" or "Dreiber" or "Dreyber", and dated 22 November 1974. This carefully crafted drawing of fuchsia and a tulip-shaped bloom reminds me of early American folk art Americana like Pennsylvania fraktur.......but, this is Russian! Housed in a cast foliate case with a rear glazed aperture containing cross-braided plaits of hair.
