A fine oil on wood panel painting of a swirling, flouncing traditional Spanish dancer, signed at upper right with the typical signature, then titled on reverse "Sevillanas" and also "Henka" (the name of the dancer?), and signed there again by the noted American artist HELEN SAWYER (1900-1999). The work measures 13 3/4" by 10 1/4" (19" by 15" framed). The panel at extreme upper left bears a rubber stamp of a gallery or art supply outfit in Paris...

This is a pleasant unsigned oil on canvasboard landscape, 16" by 20" (20" by 24" simply framed), the subject a lake surrounded by low hills, a church at right and a few strolling figures at left. The work might be by an amateur or a listed artist but due to the lack of a signature the truth will never be known. There is a little even soiling consistent with an age of at least 40 years, and a small hairline abrasion at center which is not obtrusive...

This painting measures 24"x36". Helen LaFrance is a self-taught, modern, contemporary artist who is 99 years of age. Her earliest known painting is a 12’x20’ mural inside of a local church that was made circa the late 40's and early 50’s and she continued to paint into the early 2000's. Luigi Kasimir 1881-1962 Austrian This is a fine original color etching by Austrian artist Luigi Kasimir. The scene is the New York Stock Exchange, created and printed circa 1932. This image is hand signed in pencil and numbered 29/100. The image measures 17 1/4X10 5/8 inches. This etching is nicely framed with the early label from J. Assenheim in New York.

20th Century American School 1900-1999 American Artists This is the third watercolor and gouache painting that we recently acquired. All park scenes, all painted on a blue toned paper, nicely framed with archival materials. We are unsure who this artist was, most likely one of the mid 1930's American Illustrators. The image measures 8 1/4X5 1/4 inches. Unexamined out of the frame. Probably a view in Central Park N.Y.
