Large folio size (19 1/2" by 24" inside the mat, 24 1/2" by 20" as framed) hand colored 19th century original vintage lithograph print (1867), titled at bottom "Horses at the Ford" by the iconic American print makers Currier and Ives. A great piece of Americana, this print is apparently rather scarce. Hand coloring in various shades of green, mostly, makes for a most attractive example. A finely done miniature portrait painting by Joseph Wood. Although unsigned, there is no question that this fine rendering of a young woman was done by Wood.

Sight size of this nice example is 2 1/4" by 1 13/16", and the period case is 2 1/2" by 2 1/16". The condition of the painting is excellent, with vibrant coloring, and no chips, cracks, or restoration. The period case (and glass) is in excellent condition, but it is missing the back, a replacement for which which can be made...

Excellent color and good perspective it was probably done by a professional artist, if only I could read the monogram. London framers label on the back of the back board. Image 24 by 18 ¾ inches.

Condition; good, though the mat pulled a little of the color in the upper right. It is laid down on cardboard. SOLD

A finely limned miniature painting done in watercolor on natural material. The sitter is a hazel-eyed young man dressed in a black coat and tie. The condition of the painting is excellent, with no issues. The bluish area on the left side was painted in that fashion.

The bronze frame is also in fine shape, originally made to be worn as a pendant or as a brooch, but is missing the brooch pin on the reverse. Sight size is 2 1/4" by 1 7/8", and the overall size is 2 5/8" by 2 1/4".

A black and white photograph of one of the most famous of the French chateaux, the Chateau de Chenonceau on the River Cher in France's Loire Valley, the work signed at lower right margin in ink with what appears as "D.
