A PAIR of early portraits in pastel on paper, of a middle-aged man and woman (about 45 or 50 years of age), the male portrait signed along the lower right edge "E. Yohn 1841". The works measure 20 3/4" by 17 3/4" as framed. Considering the advanced age, condition of these fragile works is excellent. Sold as a PAIR, are watercolors of the tourist district of New Orleans by listed artist N. LUCKOW. Each measures 5 3/4" by 7 3/4" (11 3/4" by 12 3/4" as framed). One is titled on the mat "In the VIeux Carre", the other simply "In the French Quarter". One is in excellent condition with glass, the other has no glass and as a result of that the mat has become torn at lower left and at lower right...

A nicely executed watercolor painting of a Mediterranean or Spanish style courtyard, the stuccoed white buildings with red tile roofs and grills on windows. Apparently unsigned, the work measures 10" by 13 1/4" (18" by 21 1/4" in circa 1960's or 1970's frame). This could be a scene of Spain, Central or South America, or, even, Southern California. Condition is excellent.

The drawing (15 1/2" by 12") is on grayish heavy paper (the true color is indicated by the first two images---the subsequent ones were taken in different light, suggesting a more tan color). The age of the drawing itself is especially difficult to determine in this instance. I would guess that it could be anywhere from 1960...
